Inchies have grown - welcome Twinchies!

We didn't realize when we scheduled this final Learn at Lunch of 2009 featuring "Inchies" that we would also get to introduce NEW product. I love it when a plan comes together! Now, from the makers of Inchies, come play with Twinchies - 2" squares! I love how Jenn incorporated both into this adorable Christmas card. Stop in Tuesday from 12-2 and play with Inchies and Twinchies and also check out the new colors - you're no longer "stuck" with black and white! The demo is FREE and no registration is required. Take a breather from your last minute holiday preparations to come play with us!

Snow Day

Guest blogger Laura here. For some reason Blogger isn't letting me upload a picture. So, I am just going to post that we are closed today (Saturday, Dec 19th) because of the snow. Who knew we would be under a blizzard watch today?! We are moving the special new-release Hero Arts Make and Take to Tuesday, Dec 22nd from 10am-8pm. Stay warm and safe everyone!

New Hero Arts for 2010

The Hero Arts 2010 catalog has arrived along with dozens of wood mounted, cling and clear stamps that are all new this year! To celebrate, we are hosting our final FREE make-and-take of 2009 this Saturday from 10-4. Stop in and make this adorable card, pick up a catalog for inspiration and a shopping list, and maybe grab a few stamps for your stocking! We purchased all of the pre-buys that Hero put together, but they don't send every single stamp in the catalog, so let us know what additional stamps you'd like to have, and we'll place an order before we close for the holidays. Hope to see you Saturday!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Last week's make-and-take card featured a non-traditional Christmas color in a monochromatic scheme. This week, we're still playing with non-traditional colors, but with lots of them! This card features a tree from Savvy stamps and paper "left over" from fall! I'm sure you have some paper at home that was intended for one thing could could be used for another - we LOVE to recycle, renew, reuse! (Plus, it makes room to buy more paper!)
Stop by and get inspired! Remember, this is the last Thursday make-and-take of the year. Next Thursday is Christmas Eve (already!) and we will be open from 10-1 for last minute shoppers, but with no make-and-take. There will, however, be a free make-and-take this Saturday, December 19, featuring all new stamps from Hero Arts. Hope you can find a minute to join us!

Let it Shine, Let it Shine, Let it Shine!

Winter is a time for all things shimmery and sparkley! It's hard to tell in a photograph, but this entire card just twinkles. Jenn used a product that has long been known to fabric artists - All Purpose Ink - in a variety of ways suited to paper. She used it directly out of the bottle (both on the paper and also directly onto the stamp) and she mixed it with Ink Potion #9 to create sprays for marvelous backgrounds. All Purpose Ink is highly metallic, but unlike glitter, it's contained :-) Come join the fun tomorrow (Tuesday) from 12-2.

It's handmade, so it counts!

This post isn't about papercrafting, but you'll thank me for it anyway! At Girl's Night Out last night (which if you've never attended, you're really missing out - it's a great opportunity to get stuff done and eat yummy snacks!), Shauna brought an amazing dessert to share that we all wanted the recipe for. She emailed it to me and suggested I post it for all to see - so here it is! (By the way, the next Girl's Night Out is January 15, and spaces are limited.)

Sopaipilla Cheesecake
2 - 8 ozs Cream cheese (I like the whipped)
2 - 8 ozs Crescent rolls
1 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla or almond
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 cup sugar with 1 t. cinnamon for topping.

Line 9x13 pan with 1 pkg. crescent rolls.
Flatten and pinch together.
Mix cream cheese with 1 c. sugar and vanilla.
Spread over rolls
Put 2nd crescent roll on top
Pour melted butter over all and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Bake 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes!

Every day is a gift....

...so unwrap it! Marilynn didn't intend for the card to look like a present, so maybe it's just my wishful thinking. Thursday's FREE make-and-take features a Hero Arts cling background stamp. While these stamps are often used as background images, they are so pretty that they make nice focal points as well (as used in this card). I love the little scallop accent at the bottom, created with the Fiskars Scallop Border punch. I also love that Marilynn chose non-traditional colors for this Christmas card.
Speaking of Hero Arts, they are releasing their NEW 2010 catalog and dozens of new wood-mounted, cling and clear stamps to a handful of stores before the end of this year. We expect to receive about 10 boxes of goodies and have them unpacked and ready for your shopping pleasure by Saturday, December 19. Stop in and take a look! And let us know if you'd like us to reserve one of the catalogs for you. They make wonderful wish lists and are filled with card samples and layouts to inspire you!

Here's the score!

Our Learn at Lunch demo on Tuesday focuses on all of the fun things you can do with a Scor-it Board! It's wonderful for scoring your cards and accordion folds, but it's also great for decorative embossing. Make frames and straight embossed lines or use the sliding ruler tool to create diagonals (like the one pictured). Score them on white core paper, then scruff off the color. It looks awesome! Or lightly brush ink over the score lines for a more vintage look. Jenn will also show you how to use the Scor-it Envelope maker for creating your own matching envelopes. Lots to see and all for FREE (a little poetry for you). Stop in between 12 - 2 to find out more!

It's a Joy!

I have a friend named Joy who loves this time of year when she sees her name everywhere she looks. She will LOVE this card! Thursday's free make and take features a Rubber Stamp Tapestry set. We often think of their peg stamps as making nice borders and frames, but they make a nice focal point with accent as well. And, I love how Marilynn used just a hint of the satin ribbon. This is an economical way to get that texture and feel without having to wrap the entire card. Stop in Thursday and make one for yourself. Also, check out the other samples Marilynn made using this set and ribbon - wonderful variations on a theme!

Seaside Stampin' Ink is coming

Doesn't this look like fun?! That's Kathy (seated) in the booth that they take to trade shows. Look at all of that fun stuff!!! Kathy and Joe will be here for our Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 5, and they will have their entire booth (just like you see here, except with YOU standing there instead of these strangers). Kathy will be demoing dozens of things you can do with a Spritz bottle. It promises to be fun, fun, fun! During Kathy's demo lunch break from 12:30 - 1:30, my quartet will be singing holiday songs for your shopping pleasure. Also fun, fun, fun! Get more details about our make-and-takes and our community outreach on our web site. We hope to see you there!

The Magic Pen

For this Tuesday's edition of our FREE Learn at Lunch program, Jenn will be playing with the Tim Holtz Refillable Alcohol Ink pen. Alcohol inks are a wonderful medium to play with because they dry on virtually everything and are very versatile. The pen makes it very easy to control exactly where your inks go. In Jenn's sample, she used the pen and green ink to color a piece of acetate that she had previously stamped the Hero Arts Flourish Ornament on. She then backed the ornament with A Muse printed paper. I love how the alcohol ink provides a transparent color so you can still see the printed paper through the ornament. It adds another layer of interest. Why not stop in and give it a try?

Still a few spaces left!

If you haven't reserved your space for our Holiday Open House on December 5, what are you waiting for? This is the most jam-packed extravaganza we've dreamed up yet, so there is sure to be something for you to enjoy no matter what time you get to stop by! I previously posted the adorable snow globe make-and-take that Marilynn will be leading, and this post features the equally cute mini canvas ornament what Donna will be leading. I love the vintage look of it! These two make-and-takes must be reserved in advance and they are $10 total for both. We have them available two different times that day because we know Saturdays in December get kind of hectic - you'll have options! We also have the folks from Seaside Stampin' Ink bringing their entire trade show booth and demoing dozens of things to do with a Spritz Bottle. And, also new this year, I will be bringing my quartet to entertain you with Christmas carols. Food, fun, community outreach - the day has it all! Hope to see you there!

Perfect Holiday Greetings

Just Rite stamps are wonderful for the holidays. Use them to personalize every gift! Mix and match borders with center images, or use fonts to create exactly the right words. Last year, I used mine to create a personalized bookplate to stamp inside the books I gave as gifts. They also make great pail toppers (we're using them in our Holiday Open House make-and-take this year). And, in one of my earlier posts, I showed how you can personalize or recycle "store-bought" cards. Stop in for our demo tomorrow from 12-2 and let Jenn show you the hundreds of uses for Just Rite stamps!

Super Plan B

If you were in the shop ealier this week, you saw a coffee card posted as our next make-and-take. Unfortunately, that card featured one of our new Accu-Cut dies, and our Accu-Cut was recently damaged. We've shipped it back to the manufacturer (wow - they don't really make boxes that size!) for repair, so we have this INCREDIBLE plan B. This card features one of the new bears from Memory Box. How cleaver to use the self-adhesive pearls for the scoops of ice cream! And, you'll also love the new shimmer paper from Memory Box - the perfect layer for a simple, yet elegant, card. This make-and-take is available FREE all day Thursday.

Loving Lutradur!

This Tuesday's Learn at Lunch features the very versatile Lutradur! In this card, Jenn embossed it using a texture plate, painted it with Shimmerz and stamped on it. She'll also show you some samples using heat to create cut outs from stencils and to make interesting edges. The possibilities are simply endless. And, the rolls are large and inexpensive - Jenn noted that it's even cheaper than most paper and a whole lot more fun! Stop in between 12-2 and see for yourself!

Let it Snow!

Stampendous just released these mini tins, and they are adorable! I thought they would be fun for treats and small treasures for Christmas, but Dee and Marilynn are clearly more creative than I am! The came up with this "snowglobe" concept featuring punches, Polar White Flower Soft and Just Rite stamps on top. Join us for our Holiday Open House on December 5 and make one for yourself. You must reserve a space for this make-and-take, and the spaces are limited - so don't delay.
We also announced in our most recent email alert that Joe & Kathy of Seaside Stampin' Ink will be here from 10-4 on Dec. 5 demoing dozens of things to do with a Spritz Bottle (well, really the contents inside the Spritz Bottle, but you knew that). They'll also be bringing their entire trade show booth for your shopping pleasure. I know you don't want to miss that! Make plans to join us and ring in the holidays in style!

Planning Ahead

The number of cards you need to make for Christmas should help determine the complexity of the card. This card, featuring stamps and printed paper from A Muse Art Stamps, is pretty, yet simple enough to mass produce! Join us any time Thursday, November 12 to make one for yourself, and you'll see how quick and easy it is.

Monday, November 9, 2009

Oh so Fancy!

In our Learn at Lunch demo tomorrow, we'll be playing with the latest punches from Europe called Fancy Punches. One side of the punch has a decorative look to it, and the other side has a "tail" that fits into a slot for perfect placement every time. Add gems or coordinating stickers to jazz it up, or leave them plain for a starburst effect. In addition, Angela will be showing you the latest bookbinding tool called Unibind. Create professional looking cookbooks, memory books and more - and it really couldn't be easier! Join us for the Learn at Lunch - Tuesday from 12-2!

Christmas Collage

Did you ever have some "design" stamps that you loved but were not sure how to use? This week we are loving them in layers! Take several design stamps (these are from Savvy and Hero Arts) and layer them together to create a holiday card with lots of pop. I love the simplicity of the monochromatic color scheme. Pretty!
It's getting to be that time- if you haven't started your cards for the holidays, hopefully this will be an inspiration. Stop in and make one for yourself anytime on Thursday between 10 and 9.

Same stamps, new idea!

Rubber Stamp Tapestry is a really unique stamp company! They create sets of peg stamps that can be used to make fabulous borders and frames. Because they are pegs with long handles, they are wonderfully simple to use. I got several sets for my aunt who struggled with severe arthritis, and she was able to use them. They are also very forgiving, because if you mess up an image, you can just stamp something right over the top of it and no one will ever know! Jenn took this idea to the next level by creating a decorative paper with the stamps and then cutting out a shape using her Nestabilities. What a fabulous idea! Come see all the different ways to use these versatile stamps this Tuesday from 12-2. As always, the demos are free and you don't need to register.

Get Well Soon!

We had no idea when we ordered these stamps from DRS the first time (I think it was back in June) that the Swine Flu was on its way! Since then, we have reordered them at least 4 times. This brightly colored card is the perfect pick-me-up for someone feeling miserable. Hopefully that someone isn't you!

Happy Fall, Ya'll!

In the car yesterday, my son asked "What happened to fall?" I had to agree. With the mild temperatures and all this rain, it felt a little bit like our spring. To remind you of crisp fall days full of color, Marilynn created this all-occasion card for our free make-and-take tomorrow featuring Memory Box stamps. And, by tomorrow, the rain should be gone so come on over!

Make it shine!

In Tuesday's Learn at Lunch demo, Jenn will be coloring with metallic pencils! These pencils are great for adding shimmer to light colored card stock, but they really look amazing on darker card stock. This new winter image from Lockhart Stamp Company is so "homey", it just begs to be stamped on kraft card stock. But standard colored pencils don't stand out like these do, and markers are not soft enough. I also love how Jenn rounded the corners of the CARD, and not just the pieces on the card. Again, this adds to the soft look - you can almost feel the fabric and the fur! Stop in and play for yourself - Tuesday between 12-2.

Scared Silly!

Have you taken the Wall of Fame challenge? Each month, we post a different theme to challenge you. Simply create a card based on the theme, bring it in to the shop before the end of the month, and we'll display it on our Wall of Fame (right next to the register). At the end of the month, we'll select a card at random, and the winner will receive a stamping prize! This month, the theme is Scared Silly. One of our Happy friends, Chrisi Rogers, decided to add a twist to challenge herself. She decided to make all of her entries for 2009 incorporate Elvis. It's been fun to see what she has come up with each month. Add your own twist, or play it straight, but definitely play. We love to see your creations. To see the themes for the next 6 months, visit our web site.

Wild thing!

(Marilynn not only creates great cards for our Thursday make-and-takes, this week she also guest blogs about it).

Animal cards just put a smile on your face. This week we are using one of the many moose stamps that will put a smile on someone's face who may really need it. Perhaps a frazzled mom? There are moose sayings that go with the stamps, but animal stamps go well with many of the funny sayings that help make us the Happy place that we are. We'll be using a saying from Rosie's Road show-known for many humorous sayings. But check out some of the other sayings that would go well with this stamp up on the counter. Am I wrong or is there a smile on your face by now as well?

It's no secret!

Happy Stamper Harriett and Happy Helper Deb Prantl spent countless hours reorganizing the Accu-Cut display board, and it is fantastic! (Thank you, ladies!) To celebrate the new display (as well as the new dies that arrived and prompted the changes), Jenn is leading a demo using the Accu-Cut. This door hanger is one of the dies that makes a great teacher gift or kid craft for rainy days (and we've had our share of those lately). Come see how easy it is to create your own notecards, bags, boxes, envelopes and accent pieces. You are welcome to use the Accu-Cut any time a class is not in session - we simply ask that you purchase your paper from us. Stop in Tuesday from 12-2 and give it a "crank".

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Just Treats, please!

I still can't get over the idea that you can just ring doorbells and people will give you candy. It's everything that is right with America! Every Thursday is like Halloween at the Happy Stamper - you get a treat (and you don't even have to dress up). Stop by this Thursday to make this fun Halloween card any time between 10 am and 9 pm.

Monday, October 12, 2009

Happy Columbus Day!

It's a federal holiday, but we are open! And, we are getting ready for tomorrow's Learn at Lunch, where Jenn will be sharing techniques for working with Bazzill's new Jewel Templates. Use their self-adhesive gems to create all kinds of designs - bling it up! Jenn will be working with the clear gems, and also showing you how to create your own colors by using your Copic makers (as she did in the "joy" card shown). Stop in between 12-2 on Tuesday and see how easy it is to add a lot of sparkle to your projects!

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Yea Fall!

If the chilly mornings haven't gotten you in the mood for fall, then this card surely will! Marilynn used an Outlines stamp for the sentiment and accented the card with cutouts featuring the Limited Edition Fiskars squeeze punches (we used the acorn previously). Simple and lovely! Join us Thursday any time for our FREE Make and Take! You'll be "thankful" you did!

Impressed with IO

We've posted a lot the last few days with Impression Obsession stamps and products, so it should come as no surprise that we are really excited about their new items! Come find out why! Jenn will be demoing their new Backgrounder stamps and Mega Mount. The backgrounders are large enough that you don't have to try to piece them together when stamping the entire card. And the Mega Mount makes that easy - no more standing on your large stamps to get a complete impression! Jenn used two stamps in this card sample. Did you notice the gingham on the card itself? Most people are deceived into thinking that is patterned paper. Now you can make your own! Stop in and give them a try - Tuesday from 12-2.

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Let's Get Shakin!

In Donna's 2nd Impression Obsession class, she got to play with their new Shaker cards. These are narrow plastic boxes in squares and circles to make Shakers cards super easy. The overlay fit right over the top. Donna embellished the overlays with IO's new background stamps. One of the fun things with Shaker cards is all the different things you can fill them with. This one is filled with the Autumn Flower Soft.

We have both the background stamps and the shaker boxes at the shop (they came in on Saturday!) So, if you are inspired, come in and get some to play with!

This one is actually filled with sand from the beach. I'm picturing you can do all sorts of fun things - and not just for cards! What about saving some sand in your beach scrapbook or some hair from baby's first haircut?!? So many possibilities!

Impression Obsession

These are two cards from one of the Impression Obsession classes Donna took this weekend.
As you all may know, Laura is on the Design Team for IO, and she designed one of the cards that Mitra (the owner of Impression Obsession) used in the class. Now Laura's design will be hanging in dozens and dozens of shops across the United States. Sounds like a reason for a road trip to me! Anyway, Laura and Jenn worked like maniacs today to unload the two enormous boxes we received from IO. And, Jenn will be leading the FREE demo on Tuesday featuring their background stamps and the Mega Mount. I'll post more on that in a bit. Plan to visit the shop soon and bring your camera. There is a lot of eye candy, and you won't want to forget it when you get home!

Fun Idea from JustRite Stamps

Donna took a class yesterday with JustRite Stamps, and they had a very clever idea. Purchase cards after Christmas this year when they are marked down to 75% off. (I was thinking you could also reuse cards you received this year - "thinking green".) Cut the front of the card off and then customize with a ribbon and stamped greeting.

Then mount the card onto a new piece of cardstock, and you're done! How quick and fun is that?
Notice how beautifully the JustRite stamps fit into the punched shapes - again for quick mass production. Donna is bringing back handouts so that we know exactly which stamps fit in which punches - it couldn't be easier than that!

New Products this weekend!

I plan to post several times this weekend as Laura and Jenn unload boxes at the store and Donna attends a trade show in Houston to buy even more new stuff! One of the boxes that arrived yesterday contained the brand new Cling stamps from Hero Arts. This will come as no surprise to you that they are wonderful! Most of them are general occasion, but some are for Christmas - I really need to get started on my cards! They also came out with 3 new card kits. These kits contain the stamps, card stock, notecards and instructions to make 4 cards. Of course, you could get different cardstock and make more! I think these will make wonderful stocking stuffers! These kits also contain "extra white cardstock for redos". Now, that is thinking of everything!

Another box I opened yesterday was from Outlines. They have created 3 new Wavy Poinsettia stamps and a Holly Background stamp to coordinate. Since I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Outlines, I had to bring some home right away to play with! One thing I tried that was new to me was coloring on the gold metallic paper that I used as my base with Copic Markers. They dry quickly, they don't bleed, and a little bit of the shimmer from the paper shines through for an extra accent.

Remember - today is World Card Making Day, and we're hosting a Card Drive at the shop. Bring in a card for the Orphan Foundation of America and take 30% off one item. One per family - today only. All the details and card guidelines are available on our web site. Hope to see you! Also, stay tuned to the blog for more posts throughout the weekend!

Love the chocolate!

I don't always remember rich brown when I'm making my holiday cards, but this is stunning! Marilynn used two Memory Box stamps, and stamped and embossed over Memory Box patterned paper - another thing I don't remember to do. The effect is simple yet elegant. Great for mass production! Come make your first one on Thursday at our weekly free make-and-take.

Tonic Border System

I've been doing ribbon weaving for quite a while now, and the hardest thing has been lining up the punches. Tonic has dramatically simplified the entire process - it's so easy now! They just released these new ribbon weaving punches at the summer CHA show, and the minute I saw them, I knew I had to have them. Look at how straight these borders are! That's due to the Border Tool, which holds your punch in place and has a ruler right on the base so that you can evenly space your punches each and every time. Come find out for yourself how easy these punches are to use, and how creative you can be with your weaving (see how each punch also punches holes? Those can be used for 1/8" eyelets!). Join me for a free demo on Tuesday, September 29 from 12-2 PM. The demo is free and there is no need to pre-register. Just stop on by!

A GREEN Card - literally

OK, so it's obvious this card is the color green. But it's also a great way to recycle scraps you've been saving. In this case, it's wonderful Asian washi paper that you definitely don't want to just toss in the trash! We've also incorporated Robin's Nest Dew Drop embellishments to complete the card. Simple, elegant, quick and GREEN!
Stop in any time between 10 and 9 on Thursday and make one for yourself!

No Distress at Demo Days!

This was really hard to photograph, so you need to stop by just to see the shimmer! When Tim Holtz and Ranger first mentioned a metallic distressed look, it seemed like it couldn't possibly work. And yet, these new Crackle Paints (in 3 metallic colors plus Opaque White) look remarkably "right". Leave it to those creative minds! Stop by on Tuesday between 12 and 2 and let Jenn show you how to work with these pastes and also the Distressed Glitter Glue (or non-glitter glitter glue, as we like to call it). No need to register, just stop in to play!

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

A Snowball Fight!

It's kind of hard to think about snow when the temperature today is 84 degrees! But, Christmas is 3 months and 10 days away. YIKES! Harriett has a great start on her Christmas cards, Marilynn knows what she's planning to do, and I've done NOTHING! I'm hoping Thursday's Free make-and-take card will get me going! Featuring new stamps from Savvy stamps, and a really fun way to use pom poms, this is a great card to send to the young and the young-at-heart. As long as it doesn't prompt a REAL snowball fight. Stop in any time Thursday to make one for yourself!

The Beauty of Buttons

Buttons are such a fun embellishment to use on your papercrafting projects. Let Jenn show you how to customize them so that they match virtually anything you're working on! No more searching for the perfect color when you can simply create your own. Chipboard buttons can be covered with paper, stamped and colored, or colored directly with ink. Jenn also stained plastic buttons with her Copic airbrush. And, they can be backed creatively to add interest with different shapes. The possibilities are simply endless! Stop in Tuesday between 12 - 2 and see for yourself. Jenn will also show you some finished projects to incorporate these adorable embellishments.

Unity Stampin Store Kits

One of our favorite new stamps companies is Unity Stamps. They have created these new collections (a new one is available each month) of red-rubber stamps on cling mount that are only available in select retail shops (ours being one of them). The sets are pre-cut (yippee!) and come on 8 1/2 x 11" storage sheets in a plastic carrying case (so none of the stamps get lost). The storage items alone would cost at least $5.00!

The August set (at top) has 24 stamps. The September set has 20. And these are nice-sized stamps! The journaling block, for example, is 3 x 4.5", yet if my math is correct (and this is pretty easy math, so I'm feeling confident) it works out to be less than $2.00 as the sets sell for $40 and come with the storage items I mentioned earlier. What a deal! And cute, cute stamps too! Even if you only liked half of the stamps in each set, it would still be a good deal. I LOVE a bargain! Both sets are available in the shop right now, so snag 'em while they last.

A Great Day to be Joyful

With the kids back in school and cooler weather upon us, there is a lot to be joyful about. Thursday's free card make-and-take can be used to celebrate all of it! The card features one of our NEW Accu-cut dies as well as the Fiskars Limited Edition Acorn punch. It's a great way to make use of all of those scraps of paper you've been saving. Come see how easy the Fiskars squeeze punches are to operate. And, take a look at the front of the punch. It shows a small image of the punch shape. That's because these punches are intended to be stored by stacking them. While stacked, you can still see exactly which punch is which - handy! So, join us and take some "joy" home with you!

Shimmerz and Shine!

With so many products on the market that add a metallic sheen, it's obvious that we love to sparkle! But how can you keep them all straight? Join Jenn as she demonstrates the difference between Shimmerz iridescent paints and Twinkling H2Os & Smooches. This picture really doesn't capture the beauty of the shine you get with Shimmerz - even on black! So come take a look for yourself at our FREE Learn at Lunch demo on Tuesday from 12-2. No registrations are required.

Happy Birthday Angela!!

Today is Angela's birthday, so I wanted to send special wishes her way. I used a clear set from Impression Obsession that allowed me to highlight her actual birth day. The set comes with a circle stamp to use around the dates, but I decided to outline the 6th with rhinestones instead. I never turn down an opportunity to use a little bling!

On a separate note, did you see the video Dave Brethauer posted on his site featuring Angela's? We are famous! You can check out the blog entry here.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Don't forget that the store is closed on Monday, September 7th for the holiday, but we will be back open Tuesday. Also, don't forget that Tuesday will be Jenn's first demo at the store and will feature Shimmerz paints.

Take care,

Bring on the candy!

It's never too early to start thinking about the night when people are just giving chocolate away! For Thursday's FREE make-and-take, we are using Snag 'em Stamps from Imaginisce with their coordinating paper. All of the Snag 'em Stamps are clear, unmounted, and they are only $1 each! For that bargain price, they actually stamp beautifully. They come in a variety of Halloween and Christmas designs and they all have coordinating papers. Fun and easy! However, they are limited edition, so once they are gone, they are gone.

Jean's Retirement Party

Really, what else can we say? After 6 years, Jean's reign as the "demo queen" came to an end today with a fantastic party. Thanks to everyone who came out and signed Jean's guest book and showered Jean with cards and good wishes. It was a great time!

Jean took the opportunity to answer questions that weren't quite stamp related - like how she got started stamping and what she would be doing now. We are envious of the time and attention she will now be showering on her husband - but he's quite pleased!

We had an official "passing of the torch" ceremony - thank you, Jenn, for making the torch! Next Tuesday, plan to join us for 12-2 for Jenn's inaugural demo featuring Shimmerz!
