Seize the Day!

We've added so many new ribbons to our selection recently, that I find myself using ribbon more than ever on my cards and other projects. One of my favorite things to do is choose the ribbon FIRST, and then match the card stock, ink colors, markers, etc. to the ribbon. Sometimes that causes me to use color combinations I hadn't thought of before, and it's always fun to branch out a bit. Marilynn made good use of ribbon in this week's FREE make-and-take card. I love the continuation of the circle theme with the little spotlighted birthday cake (the stamp set is by My Sentiments Exactly). Stop in anytime Thursday and make one for yourself!

All Things Stitched

When I planned this Learn at Lunch demo last month, I thought it was going to be all the different methods we have for stitching: stamping the image to be stitched, using the Bazzill templates to poke holes and then stitch and maybe even reintroducing the Stitching Stickers. But then I discovered these Punch & Stitch punches, and all that other "stuff" lost my interest for the moment. These long reach punches come in a variety of shapes. The one we'll be playing with punches holes in a circle shape. It's a time saver because it punches the entire circle at once, and it's very tidy - all the holes are the same size! But the best part is the versatility of the stitching - with this single punch, there are at least 10 different ways to stitch it to create unique designs (I'll show you ALL 10 during the demo and maybe we'll even come up with more)! And that's just for the circle punch. There are several other designs as well including "cross", "flower", square and scallop. Join me (Angela) from 12 - 2 on Tuesday and see what you think!

What Goes Around....

I LOVE the circle motif of this card! Disguise the unique design in a standard A2 envelope for easy mailing and a fun reaction from whomever receives it! Plus, I love the idea of "happy thoughts" coming back around to you! The stamp by Impression Obsession is very detailed, but a quick color for a fun and easy card. Come make one for yourself Thursday, May 21 from 10-9. FREE!

Metal Madness

Wanna try something new? Join Donna Tuesday, May 19 for some Metal Madness. Donna will show you how to hand-tool metal to make amazing designs that you can incorporate into any of your projects! In addition, she'll show you how to distress colored metal to get an impressive finish to your work. If that sounds like too much effort, take a look at what you can do with your embossing machines - Donna will demonstrate that as well! Quick, easy, awesome! The demo runs from 12-2, and no reservations are required!

Another Video

Hey guys, blogger Laura here again. I wanted to post a video that I did featuring Copic markers and Memory Box stamps. Some of you might have already seen it on one of my blogs, but I wanted to wait to post it here until I was sure all the supplies I used were in stock at Angelas. I hope you enjoy it!

Do my eyes deceive me?

Tuesday's Learn at Lunch demo features these intriguing new stamps from Inkadinkado that contain an image within an image. Look closely at the wings of the hummingbird, for example, and you can see butterflies. Choose to emphasize these hidden images, or let the recipient find them on their own. Jean has lots of ideas for doing both! The demo is FREE, no registration is required, and it takes place from 12-2. See you there!

Come on May Flowers!

I've grown up hearing this rhyme most of my life, and only just learned that April is not usually a very rainy month. Odd....this year seemed rainier than most, so I'm hoping that's a good sign for flowers and trees and lawns. Our Free make-and-take tomorrow is bright and fun and features stamps from Unity Stamp Company - a relatively new company for us. We hope to see you Thursday come rain or come shine!

Have you heard????

Flower Soft is generating a HUGE buzz! We got to play with it for the first time at the trade show in March, and our first order sold out in the shop in 2 days! Fortunately, Jean grabbed some out of that first batch, so she has lots to play with at her demo, Tuesday May 5 from 12-2. We'll be completely restocked by then too in case you love it as much as we do! The folks at Flower Soft are carefully guarding their secret of what it's made of, but it does really look like flowers when you use it! Come see for yourself!
