Favorite Product of the Week

Bling Bling. Mahnaaz's favorite thing of the week..

I was so excited when Angela said I could write about all the reasons that I love Bling. First, he's super cute. Second, he does the cutest tricks for cheese. In fact, he'll do anything for [interruption] umm...hmmm (see below)

Right, so, that bling. Makes more sense. Oops!

I love BLING. I can say it louder if you want. Not only is it shiny - for all you other magpies out there - it will cover any mistake, ink smudge and oops that threatens to ruin your projects.

And boy did we get in bling this week. Big bling, little bling, round bling, flower bling, clear bling, colored bling, bling bling; seriously, so much bling. If you feel like your card is missing that last little touch, you should probably come in and pick up a pack of bling. It's exactly what you need.

Thursday Make & Take - Feb. 28

Top o' the Mornin to Ya! With March and St. Patty's day coming around the corner, we have a lovely Irish Blessing complete with clovers and glimmer mists for your Thursday amusement. The picture doesn't do the card justice but if you click on the image, you'll get a slightly better look. (We'll wait while you check it out).

See, isn't it great? Plus you get to try out the glimmer mists which add that subtle sparkle that (every) card needs.

Take a minute to look around the store once you're through. The staff has been busy churning out samples for all the fun products we've gotten in. There are so many great ideas if you're looking for inspiration. Remember, you can color copy or photograph any of the samples in the store except class examples. Happy Stamping!

Modesty? Nah...not tonight

Since I'm not Angela (and I'm the newest member of her team) I think I'm at liberty to brag a bit. So here goes...

Angela's Happy Stamper was voted Best Specialty Store in the Fairfax Times! How exciting! Now I have written proof to back up my claims that I work at the best place ever. Click here to see who else Fairfax County is loving.

Thank you to all of you who voted for the store. We love our store and we love our customers and it's so nice to feel that it's mutual. Angela is lining up great new products and classes and guest artists for the rest of this year - we hope to see you soon! At the funnest store around! I love my job.

Artists, Look Up!

Michael Jacobs at Angela's!

Our first guest artist of the year is coming! We are so excited to announce that we have Michael Jacobs joining us on April 5 & 6.

Click here to read all about him
. He's an acclaimed (and published) artist and if you were lucky enough to secure a space in one his classes last year, you'll attest to the fact that he's a fantastic teacher. Angela always remarks that once he's done with you, you really feel like you're an artist too!

Michael will be teaching 3 classes. Sign up quick, spaces are limited and they go fast!

It's Sample Time!

After a week of heavy lifting (moving fixtures and inventory around the shop), I finally had some time this weekend to play. The first card features a Hero Arts stamp from their new 2008 collection. Because we now have so many choices of card stock and 144 colors of Copic markers, I love being able to perfectly match my favorite ribbons! This card totally has me ready for spring.

The second card features one of the Snag 'em stamps* from Imaginesce. These stamps are a steal at $1.00 each, so how good can they really be? Turns out, they stamp beautifully. And, they coordinate with a line of yummy papers, too! As they release more clear, unmounted stamps, we'll be sure to Snag 'em for you!

*Note: We're sold out of this stamp for the moment but we have the paper, ribbon and more fun $1.00 stamps!

Thursday Make & Take - Feb. 21

We got a bit distracted by Valentine's Day and all the new stamps from Memory Box, but we didn't want to let February completely pass us by without celebrating Chinese New Year. To all of you "rats" out there, have a Fantastic Day!

And the winner is...

Loretta Norman! Loretta is the winner of the February BoBunny Bag giveaway.

Congratulations! Not only are we excited that she can't say that she never wins anything anymore, we're thrilled to have her as a new customer.

Stay tuned for new contests. In the meantime, there are tons of Valentine's Day & (and one) Groundhog's Day stamp in the 50% off basket. There's also a nice selection of holiday stamps still available if you want to get a jump on next Christmas or if you celebrate it in July.
