Tuesday Learn at Lunch- Yupo Paper

Yupo paper is a synthetic paper that has become very popular in the crafting world.  It comes in regular as well as translucent.  Yupo paper works brilliantly with alcohol inks since it allows the inks to sit on the surface of the paper and blend.

In the picture above, you can see the alcohol inks on some translucent Yupo paper.  It becomes magical when you hold it up to the light and let the light shine through the paper to really illuminate the colors:

Want to learn more about Yupo paper and alcohol inks?  Join Angela on Tuesday, May 31st anytime between 12:00-2:00pm to learn all about these wonderful mediums.

Closed on Monday

Hi folks, hope it's a good Memorial day for you all.  We will be closed Monday but will be back open on Tuesday with a great demo for you from 12-2 with The Angela.  Come see how to use Yupo paper to create a stunning card.  Free and fun!

What are you doing this weekend?

Greetings friends.  Do you have plans this holiday weekend or are you having a staycation at home?  If you are going to be around here, why not stop by the Happy Stamper and get your crafting fix?  We have several things going on:

Saturday:
First, Laura is teaching her Intro to Colorbursts class from 10:30am- 12:30 pm.  Sign up online on our class page or call the store if you are interested.

Second, for those of you who are sad they can't make our free Tuesday Learn at Lunch demo series, you will be pleased to know Marilynn will be doing an encore demo this Saturday from 10am-1pm.  Marilynn is an amazing instructor, and she has tons of ideas for combining stencils with embossing paste.  This event is free and there is no need to preregister.

Sunday: There are no scheduled classes on Sunday which means that our classroom is available for use.  Why not use the bright space to work on a current project? You are welcome to use our fridge and microwave if you want to to make the day of it.  Parking is also really easy on Sundays.  You can park in the chiropractor spots out front since they are closed that day.

Monday: We will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

Graphic 45- Hallowe'en in Wonderland

Graphic 45 is always ahead of the game.  They just released their Halloween collection.  The great thing about this line of paper is that it could be used for Halloween, but a lot of the individual sheets are generic enough that they can be used year-round.  The collection should also appeal to anyone who is a fan of Alice in Wonderland.

A note about buying paper....  as you know, we try to keep our store packed with new releases of paper.  We tend to order the latest collections rather than restocking older lines.  It is usually pretty easy for us to order collection packs for you if you missed them the first time around, but it is very difficult for us to reorder individual sheets from a particular collection.  We would have to place a large order just to get a couple sheets of paper.  Plus, any leftover paper from a reorder doesn't sell well since it is paper people have already seen.   Therefore, I HIGHLY encourage you to buy individual sheets of this collection now if anything appeals to you.  We can order the collection packs for you at any time, but we many not be able to restock the individual sheets.

Graphic 45- Safari Adventure

We have a really fun new collection of paper from Graphic 45 called Safari Adventure.  It has wonderful animal prints that could be used for safari animal cards, but  I also imagine the animal prints paired with images of handbags, shoes, and those hysterical women from Art Impressions.  How would you use the animal prints?

Welcoming a New Instructor!

We are very excited to welcome Deborah Anton to our Happy Stamper instructor family!  Deborah is Copic Certified, and is a designer for two wonderful stamp companies:  Your Next Stamp and The Cat's Pajamas.  She also has a real fondness for My Favorite Things!

Join her for her inaugural workshop, featuring cards "to die for"!  The workshop is Tuesday, May 31, and there is both a day and an evening option.  Hope to see you there!

Next, we have new Reverse Confetti.  The new stamps and dies have a lot of birthday and wedding images, so they have already proven to be popular.  Here are some ideas with the new goodies:
