Last Day

Well, it is here.  Our last day is Saturday, Sept 30th.  We will be open our regular hours of 10am-5pm.  There isnt a lot left, but it is now 75% off.  There is paper, ribbons, dies without coordinating stamps (a great buy because you can get the stamps cheaply later), some paints, some markers, and a few ink pads.  We also have folding chairs for $5 each. Laura, Harriett, Deb, Dee, and Kathy will be there if you want to stop by to say goodbye.

Update

Our Copic refill service is now over so we are selling the remaining refill colors on a first come, first serve basis. Remember, the refills are alcohol ink, so you can use them just like you would Ranger brand alcohol ink. You don't have to use them just for refilling your markers. I love using them on Yupo paper. They are priced depending on how much ink is left in them, so it is a great opportunity to get a nice assortment of colors.

The Final Week is Here

Greetings friends,

We have really appreciated the opportunity to see so many of you in the past month - and to hear from so many of you who have moved out of the area but still hold a special place for us in your heart.  Building community was a true passion for us, and if the outpouring of well-wishes over the last month is any indication - we did that well.  Thank you for being a part of that with us!

Our final day will be this Saturday, September 30

In addition, we are deepening our discount effective immediately to 60% off all merchandise.  And, we do still have some wonderful items to choose from.

If you get a chance this week, we would love to see you to say goodbye.  Several of the happy stampers will be at the store on Saturday for the final day.

Updates

Greetings friends.  This is a quick update to let you know where we are in the closing process. First of all, thank you to everyone who has stopped by.  We have enjoyed sharing memories and having the chance to say goodbye.  We have made a lot of friends over the last 14 years. Yes, we are still open.  We will not be here in October, but we will be selling the rest of the inventory and fixtures in September. Yes, there is still plenty to buy.  We really suggest stocking up on the nice 8 1/2" x 11" papers.  Paper is one of the harder things to buy online and you often cant buy it by the individual sheet.  Get it while you can!  We also suggest getting ink pads, reinkers, adhesive, and ribbon.  Those are the staples in your collection that go with everything. Here are some current picts of the store:

September is Our Last Month

The End of an Era
Greetings friends,

Retail is hard.

Owning a small business is even harder. With online sales now the norm, a brick and mortar store has overhead costs that just aren't where we need them to be in order to meet our financial obligations.

So, after 14 years, Angela's Happy Stamper is closing its doors.

We've never really thought of ourselves as simply a retail store. We've honestly felt more like a family, and have truly appreciated and embraced being part of your lives, and so we know this won't be easy for many of you, just as it isn't easy for us.

We've enjoyed helping you design invitations and going to your weddings (and even officiating one)! We've cried and also celebrated with you during all the changes that life brings. And we've been truly honored to be "your happy place". And it's sad that those connections, which to us are more valuable than gold, cannot - as it turns out - pay the rent.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 5, we will begin the process of selling off our inventory. Effective immediately, All Sales are Final. No returns or exchanges will be accepted. Also, we can no longer accept our monthly coupon cards. Additionally, we will no longer be hosting our free Tuesday Learn at Lunch demos or Wednesday make-and-take cards. We will be CLOSED on Mondays.  At this time, all our other hours will remain the same.

We've been proud to take your donations and share them with the Herndon Senior  Center.  We are so grateful for your generosity, but ask that you now make your donations directly to the Senior Center:  873 Grace Street, Herndon.  Thank you so much for your support over the years!

All special orders need to be picked up by Sunday, September 10th. There will be no discounts on special orders. If you cannot pick up your order by the 10th, please call us with a credit card and we will ship to you.

Looking for a fixture or paper rack? We are selling these as well, and the prices are listed on each item.

We will continue to refill your Copic markers while our refill supplies last. Because this, like a class registration fee, is a service, we will not be offering any discounts on it. Please be mindful that we expect a big response to the refill service, so we may not be able to fill your pens on the spot. Your patience is extremely appreciated.

We will be slowly selling off our card samples. You may use them for inspiration, or glue them onto another card base and share them! Please don't pull them off the displays. We have baskets of cards that are available. You can choose 6 cards for $5.00 (no further discounts apply).

If you've read this far, you're likely asking yourself, "Are they going to offer a discount on all that fabulous stuff?" All merchandise on the floor will be 20% off, and you will want to shop early for the very best selection. Please don't ask us if we will be offering deeper discounts. Understand that it is our biggest wish to NOT have to do that. We hope to be able to sell everything at a discount level that is fair to all of us. We do understand that this is how some store closings work and we do realize that at some point that may be necessary, but please know that these questions sting.

We appreciate your support over these last 14 years. It brought us much joy to share with you 3 years ago that we were moving and not closing our doors. We truly wish that was the news we were bringing to you today. We hope to see as many of you as possible over the next couple of weeks. It has been a great joy belonging to a wonderful crafting community with you.

Fondly, Angela and the Happy Stampers

Here Comes the Shine!

There is nothing better, on the day after the sun goes dark, than a little SHINE!  It's hard to capture in a photo, but we will be working with the Pilot Metallic Pens (in both gold and silver) to add some texture to a Color Burst background.

One of the things I love about these pens is how quickly they dry.  Unlike Krylon Gold Leafing pens, these dry almost instantly.

Join Angela between 12 & 2 on Tuesday for the chance to play, not only with these pens, but also with Color Bursts - like a "solar burst" only not hazardous to your eyes!!!  This event is FREE, so come on in!
