Snag 'em Stamps - Just like Candy!

Last week, we used one of the Imaginisce Snag 'Em stamps on a Christmas card.  This week, we're using another one (with the coordinating paper) on this adorable Halloween card.  These stamps, by Imaginisce, are bargain priced ($1.00 each), and they stamp beautifully.  I said they were just like candy - but they're actually cheaper than candy, and better for you!!!!!  (Well, maybe they're not better for you if you eat them, but you won't do that - right???)

A little love for the inside

For this week's FREE make-and-take, we are not only focused on the outside of the card, but we are giving the inside a little love, too!  For the outside of the card, we are featuring one of the $1 Snag Em stamps from Imaginisce.  If you've never stamped with them before, this is your chance to see how crisp of an impression you can get - what a bargain!  We're embellishing the tree with a little glitter glue and popping it up over a strip made with an embossing folder.  What a great way to use up your scraps!  On the inside, we've added a Hero Arts tag sentiment and a bit of twine.  Fun!  Stop in Thursday between 10 & 8 to make one for yourself.

It's a Breeze!

This week's card will "blow you away". You will have some fun playing with the new Fiskars border punch featuring the fence motif. This punch lends itself to all kinds of projects! The stamps are from the Snag 'em collection by Imaginisce which means they are only $1 each. They stamp beautifully! You'll also get to play with the Faber-Castell Big Brush Markers. These markers are different from Copics (which are alcohol inks) and Memento/Tombo markers (which are water-based) in that they are India Ink markers. They are a very wet ink that dries permanently, but they don't bleed through to the back of your card stock. Therefore, this card doesn't require any layering pieces - hooray! Finally, we'll add just a hint of shimmer with the orange Spica glitter pens. Stop by Thursday between 10 - 8 and make one for yourself!

Enough already with the snow!

Happy Sunday! Here's an update from the North Pole (I mean, from North Reston). The management is usually pretty good about clearing the parking lot, and given how much snow we got, that was no easy feat. The problem, of course, is what to do with all of that snow. So, while the parking lot was clear, all of the doors in the development were blocked.

I must say that with practice comes expertise, so I'm practically a professional snow shoveler at this point! I managed to clear a very respectable path and to get the door open. My fear (although really, how bad could this be) was that while I was inside they would come and plow snow back in front of the door and I would be trapped....trapped in a stamp store. Bummer!?!?

Our dear Paula was scheduled to work both Saturday and Sunday. She lives north of Baltimore, so I suggested she just stay home. But she is one dedicated Happy Stamper, so she came down Friday night and took a hotel room. She stopped by the shop first to pick up some emergency stamping supplies. Check out the fruits of her labor! These adorable stamps are from Inky Antics.

This is new paper and one of the Snag 'em stamps from Imaginisce (Snag 'em stamps are only $1). She actually spelled out the word "Wish" with self-adhesive gems. When I asked how long that took, she replied "I wasn't going anywhere". True, true!

It's never too early to start thinking about the night when people are just giving chocolate away! For Thursday's FREE make-and-take, we are using Snag 'em Stamps from Imaginisce with their coordinating paper. All of the Snag 'em Stamps are clear, unmounted, and they are only $1 each! For that bargain price, they actually stamp beautifully. They come in a variety of Halloween and Christmas designs and they all have coordinating papers. Fun and easy! However, they are limited edition, so once they are gone, they are gone.

Boo-tiful Card for Thursday!

The card for this Thursday's free make-and-take features the new Owl-oween clear set from Hero Arts. Owls are scary enough (with that whole rotating their head all the way around Exorcist thing) but when they put on a ghost sheet???? Hooo's scary now?

OK, it's clearly time to put down the candy corn. Anyway, the large matting circle is paper from Imaginisce that's been punched with the new Xtra Giga circle punch from Marvy. These punches come in 8 shapes and are super handy for framing those slightly larger images. They're a "hoot"!
