Tattered Angels Chalkboard spray isn't really chalk, but it does dry to a beautiful matte finish! Jenn and I agree that it has one of the most even and opaque coverages of any mist we've ever used! The tag is actually white paper! Jenn created a resist with embossing powder, and also used the spray on grungeboard and stamped over the top of that! So very versatile! Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and try it for yourself!

Thanks, Fred!
We had an amazing weekend of workshops with Fred Mullett! He is such a creative, mad scientist that we all left inspired and inky! He brought a supplement of new images (which we kept), so if you want to check it out and add to our order, let me know! I'll be placing the order on Tuesday. If you got to take the classes, please post a comment. I'd love to hear what you thought!

I can almost taste it!
From a recent trade show, we received lots of new ribbon, including some wider designs. To help inspire you on how great wider ribbon can be on cards, Marilynn featured one of the ribbons on this week's FREE make-and-take card! Join us Thursday between 10 & 8 and make this wonderful birthday greeting. You'll use 3 stamps by Printworks (including one on the back that identifies this card as a handmade work of art) and also play with the Viva Decor Paper Pen to create sprinkles that look good enough to eat!

Add the Bling!
Hmmm, sorry this tag is upside down. I've had this problem before on Facebook, and now I'm having it on blogger too. Modern technology....sigh.... The picture was taken with an iPad, and even though I've saved it as a new file on my PC, it won't show up correctly in blogger. This problem is not going to be solved by me today, so I'll just move on (with apologies). Anyway, this tag features the brand new Smooch Glitz, which is the product Laura and I were most excited about at the recent trade show we attended! You'll see it's brilliant shine on the leaves (if you turn your head just right......). Jenn colored the image with Copic markers and then applied the Smooch Glitz over the top. The effect is between Glitter Glue/Stickles and Spica pens in terms of dimension and opacity. Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and see everything right side up!

Life's a Journey
Marilynn made this card for a friend of hers and was so pleased with the outcome that she's sharing it with us all! Join us Thursday to make this all-occasion card. We're using Rosie's Roadshow and Penny Black images, colored beautifully with Pebbles Chalks. These chalks are so creamy that they are easy to blend and provide a stunning matte finish. See you anytime Thursday between 10 & 8!

Inka Gold (but it comes in lots of colors)!
One of the new products we really enjoyed at the trade show we attended in March was Inka Gold! It is a wonderful metallic cream that can be applied to virtually anything! And, you can even water it down to create a wash. Very versatile! Join Jenn this Tuesday from 12-2 and give it a try for yourself. You'll create these dimensional little tiles with ease. Take a look at how well it covers chipboard (the little heart). So much fun!

You Make Me Smile
Do you love the interaction of pop ups, but hate the extra effort? Boy, are you going to love this new product from Action Wobble! It is a double-sided adhesive spring that compresses completely flat inside cards or envelopes, and springs to life when released! Join us for our FREE make-and-take this Thursday, and try one for yourself. It's guaranteed to make you smile! For this card, we're also using stamps by Inky Antics and Rosie's Roadshow and some Flower Soft for extra dimension in the flower. What fun!

Thursday's make-and-take and other treats!
So, lost in the news of the trade show that Laura and I attended last weekend is the trade show that Marilynn attended earlier in the month. If you want to read more about her adventures and see lots of card samples, be sure to visit her blog! While she was at that show, she fell in love with the Irojiten Colored Pencils by Tombo. They are like Prismacolors, except the lead is firmer, and Marilynn just raved about them. We just received them at the store, and we have them ready for you to try them out! Join us this Thursday between 10 & 8 to make this fabulous card featuring the new pencils as well as new stamps by Stampendous and new ribbon by Morex.
