Updates

As we have mentioned on the blog, emails, and Facebook, we ALWAYS sell out of tickets to the scrapbook show and therefore you should buy your tickets early.  We sold out once again this year.  After talking to the Scrapbook convention coordinators, we are being sent 40 more tickets to sell.  They should be here in a day or two.  I just wanted to alert everyone, because when these 40 are gone, there will be no more tickets. I am begging everyone who wants a ticket to buy one from us soon since they will sell out again. Tickets are $8 (instead of $10 at the door), are good for Friday or Saturday (your choice), allow you entrance to the early bird hour (on Friday) and includes one of the collectible badges. Tickets must be purchased in the store since we don't mail them.

Non-traditional "congrats" card

Wednesday's FREE make-and-take card is perfect for so many occasions!  It is a happy, non-traditional card that could fill in for all kinds of "congrats" situations:  graduations, new home/moving, new job....the list is endless.

These adorable stamps are by Rubber Soul, and the card is further enhanced by the stitching details of the dies.  The cheerful decorative paper seals the deal!!!

Stop in any time between 10 & 8 on Wednesday to make one for yourself.  Once you see how cute (and how versatile) this card is, you'll want to make more to keep on hand!  Snag the stamps while you're here so you can do just that!

Art for Inchies!

Impression Obsession has released a new line of stamps to work perfectly with your Inchies and Twinchies.  Join Angela this Tuesday between 12 & 2 to play with these new stamps, and also learn how to get vibrant color on dark cardstock and inchies.  So much satisfaction in such a small canvas!

The Learn at Lunch demos are always free and no reservation is required.  Come on by!

It's a Frenzy!

Do you need a little card making frenzy in your life?  Why not join Angela this Sunday to make 10 cards using the latest stamping techniques.

Card Making Frenzy Date: Sunday, June 5 Time: 2:00 - 5:00 PM Fee: $35.00

Back by popular demand - it's another FRENZY!!!! This class format is a little different. Angela will bring materials to make a bunch of different all-occasion cards that you can customize with any number of sentiment stamps. You'll get to try Neon Amplify, Gelatos, Shimmer Sheets, Paper Soft and so much more. In total, you'll make 10 cards. You may find that you like one design so much, you want to make a few of that particular one. You don't have to make 10 different card designs. This class is meant to be relaxed, so come and enjoy! Class size is limited (it literally sold out in days last time), so reserve your space today! Students should bring: your favorite adhesive and a teflon craft sheet.

Great Stamps and Dies- Great Price

Looking for stamps and dies at a great price? You are going to love the stamps, dies, sequins and shaker cards from Jillibean.  Their stamp sets have tons of sentiments, and the best part is that each clear set retails for $4.  The coordinating die sets are also $4!  You really can't beat prices like that.  There is one circle die set that retails for $5, but everything else sells for $4.  If you are looking for something new to try, then this stamp line is a great one to get the most bang for your buck.

Patriotic Paper

Didn't summer come in with a bang over Memorial Day weekend?  If you are looking for some patriotic paper and ribbons, we have some good options.  If you need a quick option, take a look at our 12X12 paper.  We have a sheet of images and words that you mix with matching papers and can make some quick and easy cards like this one!  Come check it out!

Wednesday Free Make and Take

Send someone a little "mini vacation" in an envelope!  This bright and cheerful card is our FREE make-and-take project for Wednesday, June 1.  Stop in anytime between 10am- 8:30pm and enjoy this bit of sunshine.

(The little drops that look like Pearl Pens - which can take a while to dry - are actually the new self-adhesive embellishments from Your Next Stamp.  Cuteness!)

Tuesday Learn at Lunch- Yupo Paper

Yupo paper is a synthetic paper that has become very popular in the crafting world.  It comes in regular as well as translucent.  Yupo paper works brilliantly with alcohol inks since it allows the inks to sit on the surface of the paper and blend.

In the picture above, you can see the alcohol inks on some translucent Yupo paper.  It becomes magical when you hold it up to the light and let the light shine through the paper to really illuminate the colors:

Want to learn more about Yupo paper and alcohol inks?  Join Angela on Tuesday, May 31st anytime between 12:00-2:00pm to learn all about these wonderful mediums.

Closed on Monday

Hi folks, hope it's a good Memorial day for you all.  We will be closed Monday but will be back open on Tuesday with a great demo for you from 12-2 with The Angela.  Come see how to use Yupo paper to create a stunning card.  Free and fun!

What are you doing this weekend?

Greetings friends.  Do you have plans this holiday weekend or are you having a staycation at home?  If you are going to be around here, why not stop by the Happy Stamper and get your crafting fix?  We have several things going on:

Saturday:
First, Laura is teaching her Intro to Colorbursts class from 10:30am- 12:30 pm.  Sign up online on our class page or call the store if you are interested.

Second, for those of you who are sad they can't make our free Tuesday Learn at Lunch demo series, you will be pleased to know Marilynn will be doing an encore demo this Saturday from 10am-1pm.  Marilynn is an amazing instructor, and she has tons of ideas for combining stencils with embossing paste.  This event is free and there is no need to preregister.

Sunday: There are no scheduled classes on Sunday which means that our classroom is available for use.  Why not use the bright space to work on a current project? You are welcome to use our fridge and microwave if you want to to make the day of it.  Parking is also really easy on Sundays.  You can park in the chiropractor spots out front since they are closed that day.

Monday: We will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
