Graphic 45- Hallowe'en in Wonderland

Graphic 45 is always ahead of the game.  They just released their Halloween collection.  The great thing about this line of paper is that it could be used for Halloween, but a lot of the individual sheets are generic enough that they can be used year-round.  The collection should also appeal to anyone who is a fan of Alice in Wonderland.

A note about buying paper....  as you know, we try to keep our store packed with new releases of paper.  We tend to order the latest collections rather than restocking older lines.  It is usually pretty easy for us to order collection packs for you if you missed them the first time around, but it is very difficult for us to reorder individual sheets from a particular collection.  We would have to place a large order just to get a couple sheets of paper.  Plus, any leftover paper from a reorder doesn't sell well since it is paper people have already seen.   Therefore, I HIGHLY encourage you to buy individual sheets of this collection now if anything appeals to you.  We can order the collection packs for you at any time, but we many not be able to restock the individual sheets.

Graphic 45- Safari Adventure

We have a really fun new collection of paper from Graphic 45 called Safari Adventure.  It has wonderful animal prints that could be used for safari animal cards, but  I also imagine the animal prints paired with images of handbags, shoes, and those hysterical women from Art Impressions.  How would you use the animal prints?

Echo Park, Reverse Confetti, and Copic

Forgive the long post, but so much has arrived at the store, and I wanted to share some of it with you.  I am not always the best at editing!

First- new "Party" themed paper from Echo Park.  I don't know about you, but I make birthday cards more than any other kinds of cards.  This paper is perfect for adding new cards to your birthday card stash:

Next, we have new Reverse Confetti.  The new stamps and dies have a lot of birthday and wedding images, so they have already proven to be popular.  Here are some ideas with the new goodies:

Finally, we have received more Copic Sketch markers.  We received 24 colors the other day and 50 colors today, so the supply is slowly but surely increasing.  Grab your favorite colors now!

Getting Sentimental!

We love the "Funny Bones" sentiments - and they really are intended to be the focal point of the card!  Join us for our FREE make-and-take on Wednesday - any time between 10 & 8:30 and make one of these for yourself.  You'll learn how to add just enough color and interest (and sparkle, of course) to really make the phrase POP! This card is perfect for graduations, birthdays or simply celebrating a friend!  See you Wednesday!

Handmade Wood-Grain

When I first saw the Tree Hugger set by Concord & 9th, I thought, "Wouldn't this be cool stamped on wood-grain paper?"  The paper can be hard to find, expensive and often too dark for stamping on.  So, I set out to make my own.  This is a fun technique combining Viva Decor's Paper Soft and Distress Inks.

Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and let me show you how to do it - I bet you'll be "planting trees" all over the place!!!!

Scrapbook Tickets and the Bow Easy

Every year we have the scrapbook show tickets and every year we remind people to buy their tickets early. Unfortunately, we sell out every year and end up with disappointed customers who try to buy their tickets a couple of days before the show. If you are thinking about buying one, please shop early! We have them behind the desk, so just ask for one the next time you are at the store.

Next, have you ever used the Bow Easy?  It is my favorite bow tying tool.  We haven't had it in stock for a long time because it is made by a small mom and pop company that was trying to decide if they were going to continue to produce the product.  I made a video 7 years ago (side note---7 years????  Where did the time go????) with instructions for using the tool.  Here it is:

You can also view it directly on YouTube here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEcjjpgkThQ

The Bow Easy is back in stock at the store in case you are interested.  Stamping tools are very personal, but I consider it to be one of my "Top 5 Must Have Tools."  It is also one of the cheapest tools, so that is rather nice as well.
