Lots Happiening at the Store this Week

The Open House might be over, but there is still a lot to see and do at the Happy Stamper this week.  Here are the classes we will be offering:


Zentangle - Tangle Time 2
Date: Thursday, March 17
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Fee: $20.00 (fee includes 5 White Original Square Tiles)
You tried it, you liked it, and you want more. Continue your creative journey with Zentangle, an easy and relaxing art technique. Join Certified Zentangle Teacher, Kathy Cummins, as we discover more tangle patterns using the Zentangle method! In this two-hour workshop we'll explore and expand your pattern library while teaching you techniques that will optimize the aesthetic quality of your Zentangle art. You'll be able to practice and incorporate patterns already learned in the Prerequisite Introduction to Zentangle class. Students should bring: Bring supplies from the Introduction to Zentangle class (Black Sakura Micron pen, size 01; pencil; tortillion) and any additional sizes of black Micron pens. (i.e.: 08, Graphic 1, or larger size Apprentice Pens). All other materials will be provided. 


MISTI Bunny "Bunnanza"

Are you curious about using the MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented) stamp postitioner to center stamps onto coordinating die cuts? Join Laura in this informative class as she demos the process of diecutting, creating a positioning guide, and finally stamping images onto die cut pieces using the MISTI. The process is so easy that she has already stamped and die cut enough bunnies and accessories for students to make 5 cute bunny-themed cards using the latest stamps and dies from Memory Box. Students will have the chance to practice their coloring using Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, and watercolor pencils. Students should bring: scissors, favorite double sided adhesive, tweezers, gluegloss or gluestick for adhering small die pieces. 

Gelli Prints
Date: Saturday, March 19
Time: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Fee: $32.00
You asked for it - and here it is! Come get a basic understanding of how to use your Gelli Plate. There will be extra info on using all the shapes of Gelli Plates as well. You'll make lots of fun prints to cut into cards or use in your journal projects! We will also be making wrapping paper! Students should bring: your favorite-sized Gelli Plate. A protective apron is helpful. 


Intro to Stampscapes
Date: Saturday, March 19
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Fee: $25.00
Join Marilynn and learn how to take rubber stamping to a new, fine-art level! In this class, you'll create several cards and an ATC (Artist Trading Card). You won't believe the beautiful landscapes you can create with these stamps! Students should bring: a black dye pad, other dye pads (in various colors) and a Stamp Positioner (if you have one).



10 in 10 Spring / Easter
Date: Sunday, March 20
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Fee: $34.00
Spring is finally upon us and it is time to think about cute bunnies, chicks, eggs, flowers, berries and butterflies  rather than winter scenes. Join Laura in this fast-paced class to make ten quick and easy Spring and Easter themed cards. Students will get to work with some of the latest stamps/dies from Impression Obsession and Memory Box as well as new releases of Spring papers from Doodlebug and Bella Blvd. Students will have the chance to work with Pan Pastels, Copic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Glaze pens, and the MISTI stamp positioner.  Laura will also bring a variety of sayings so that students will have the option of altering the card greetings. Although the cards are not hard to make, the class is fast-paced and designed for students who are comfortable stamping. Students will leave with 10 completed cards with envelopes. Students should bring: scissors, favorite double sided adhesive, tweezers, gluegloss or gluestick for adhering small die pieces.
