It is Christmas Eve and we are open till 1pm for last minute gifts, supplies, or gift cards. The pharmacy downstairs is closed, so parking is very easy if you need to run in and out. We've done so many things with Gelatos over the years:  Watercolor washes; resist techniques; coloring on black glossy; coloring PolyShrink; creating spritzes; mixing with embossing paste; stamping - my goodness, the possibilities are endless.  Join Angela on Tuesday between 12 & 2 and make a card using a new technique with embossing folders and these fabulous water soluble pigment sticks!  And, if you have questions about any of the other techniques mentioned above - Angela is happy to answer them.  She loves her Gelatos and keeps them on her work surface all the time.  If you haven't tried these before - what are you waiting for?  They really are a sweet treat!!! 

Christmas Items on Sale

We are open! Whew! Mother Nature pretty much killed our sales today, which is very difficult for a small business. Therefore, we decided to go ahead and mark all Christmas stamps, dies, paper, and embellishments 50% off now instead of waiting till after the holidays. If there is something you have been eyeballing for yourself or you still need presents/stocking stuffers, now is a great time to shop (no one needs to know you got a great deal). We will have the items on sale until they are gone, but for the best selection, you might want to stop by soon!

Wednesday Free Make and Take

Our Wednesday free make and take (12/14) features a sweet reindeer from @artimpressions , Copic markers, and extra heavy glitter paper.  The design adapts easily for Christmas tags or makes a perfect project to make with kids.  Stop in anytime between 10am-8:30pm to make your own free card! Also, are you interested in making a Christmas paper lantern this Saturday?  Laura has a class from 5:30-7pm that you might enjoy. The lantern is perfect for decorating your holiday table or will fold flat to give as a gift.

 

Stacked Dies!

I love the "Stacked Dies" from Neat & Tangled.  When you see them in the packaging, it's a little hard to see how cool they are.  You can use them several ways - 1) simply cut a solid background for your word, 2) remove a solid piece to create a frame from your layering paper (or multiple sheets of layering paper) or 3) create a mask to color over.  We will be playing with Color Bursts during Tuesday's Learn at Lunch demo between 12 & 2 PM and the THIRD option for using these versatile dies.  Intrigued???  Stop in to find out more.  Learn at Lunch demos are always free!

New from Taylored Expressions

It is that time again.  Companies are starting to release their Valentine images.  The nice thing about Valentines is that you can use your standard pinks and reds or you can change the colors to whites, creams, golds, and silvers to make elegant wedding and anniversary cards.  They also tend to make great friendship cards that can be used year-round.

Don't forget to check out their new embossing folders as well!

New MFT

So many wonderful new products from My Favorite Things.  There is a kindness theme that seems appropriate for the season as well as get well soon wishes and winter images.  If you are looking to make a coloring book background as a holiday gift, they have that too!

New to the Store

We restocked some of your favorite Nuvo Crystal Drops as well as all of their brand new translucent colors.  The staff agrees that the Nuvo drops are our favorite because the liquid flows from the bottle beautifully and it is the easiest brand to make round drops.  Some brands give you more of a "Hershey Kiss" top that you have to work at to make hem round.  There are also new color charts in the store so that you can see what the drops will look like when they dry.  

Need a stocking stuffer gift for a friend (or yourself)?  The new Tim Holtz Mini Snips are a must have item for your holiday list.  They are amazing!

New From Paper Smooches

Woohoo!  There are new goodies from Paper Smooches at the store.  It always makes me so happy.  If you are looking for some fun new Winter items, there are mittens, warm cups of coffee, and even a melting snowman.  You can use any of these dies for holiday cards as well as seasonal cards for birthdays, thank you cards....or whatever!

Wednesday Free Make and Take

The free make and take card for Wed, Dec 7th revisits the DC stamp from Hero Arts and combines it with other images to create a great holiday card that celebrates our area.  Join us anytime between 10am-8:30pm to make your free card.  Use it as one of your holiday cards to send or use it as a personal note for teachers, mailmen, or other people you want to remember during the holidays.  It also makes a great thank you card.
