Open House

Well, Saturday is the big day!  Hope you can come join us for a full day of fun!  Two free demos in the morning, two mid day, and two in the afternoon.  Also two free Make it Take its- one in the AM and one in the PM.  Hostess gifts while they last, and new product that is coming in daily!  It will also be the last day to get your coupon card that gives you a great special every month. (You can only get it in January with a purchase of $25 of merchandise &/or classes.)  What more do you need?  Oh yeah, Food!  Yep, we got that , too.   Come any time between 10 &5.

Elizabeth Crafts CHA Release and Party!

First, don't forget that our big Winter Open House is this Saturday, January 31st from 10am-5pm.  We have tons of demos as well as two free make and takes during the day.    You will receive a small gift just for walking in the door (while supplies last), and we will also be raffling off a couple of Happy Stamper gift cards.  You won't want to miss it!

Next, our Elizabeth Crafts CHA release arrived!  We have all of the new dies, so there is definitely something for everyone.  Want to be introduced to the new line of products and how to use them?  Be sure to check out Karen Burniston's video which is loaded with card samples as well as tons of tips and techniques for using the dies.   Karen's pop up cards are so much fun!  If you are a fan of the Elizabeth Craft's "Critter" dies, there are three new additions- a crab, a cat, and a dog.  The fun "props" dies fit all of the various critters to really personalize your creations.

Love This Card to Pieces!

This is my absolute favorite Valentine's sentiment!  (I love it so much, I use it other times of the year as well).  Stop in Thursday any time between 10 & 8 and make this card for yourself.  I love the vibrant embossing powders Marilynn chose - the extra texture makes the solid heart images just POP off the paper.

Good roads

Good news!  We seemed to have dodged the historic snow!  I was out early and the roads are fine.  So come on out for Angela's demo (from 12-2) and welcome her back from her big trip.  We've been getting lots of boxes in so there is good stuff to see!

I Can't Resist

Well, actually I CAN resist - quite easily, in fact.  With Faber-Castell Paper Crafting Crayons.  Stop in on Tuesday between 12 & 2, and let Angela show you a ton of different methods for creating a resist using these convenient wax sticks.  And, let Angela bore you with tales of her trip to Puerto Rico (an added bonus, for sure!)

Free Make it Take it on Thursday

Have you tried Dina Wakely's paints?  Come tomorrow and you'll have a chance to use them, and Dina's stamps!  Dina has a distinct free flowing look.  You have to try it to realize how fun it is.  Come have see how you can use the paints to create a card and have a real experience that makes you feel like an artist.

Demo day

It's Tuesday Demo day and the weather is good!  Come support our guest, Eileen Hull, who will be demo-ing her very own invention, the "Blends".  She is coming with brand new colors just introduced at CHA.  Demo is from 12-2.

Free Make It Take It

We have some lovely vellum in the store that has little sparkles embedded in it. Here is a fun way to incorporate it into a card. We are using it over some of our new Doodlebug paper. We'll be stamping the words onto the card from a Paper Smooches set that I couldn't resist. The main word is "Welcome" but then it has every sort of occasion to go with the word. Loved it! And there is a die of the word "welcome" if you want to make it stand out even more! Come get out of the house and be welcomed at the store this Thursday!

Lots of New at the Store!

We promised that January would be a month filled with new arrivals, and we didn't lie! The boxes are stacking up, and Harriett and I are frantically trying to get everything entered. I am going to share some of the goodies with you...

My Favorite Things had a Valentine's release, and it is AMAZING! We loved their new line so much that we bought everything. When I started this post, I realized I had 25 pictures and 4 videos I wanted to show you using the latest stamps, dies, and stencils from My Favorite Things. Obviously, I am going to show you just a sample today with more to come.

Finally, don't forget to put Thursday, January 15 on your calendar. Besides it being our free Make and Take card day, it is the day of the new Mama Elephant release!

As we have mentioned before, Mama Elephant releases new products on the 15th each month, and we will always have the new goodies available THAT DAY. We would love to show you an early sneak peek, but we definitely don't want Mama Elephant mad at us.

Free Tuesday Demo

Greetings! This week, the very talented Deb will be handling the free Tuesday demo at the store.  She has a fantastic project in mind that you wont want to miss!  She starts with a scallop circle and then scores it using the brand new ScarPal to make this super cute treat box.  The size of the box might be deceptive in the picture, but it holds a single Ghirardelli chocolate square.

To make the box, she also used the awesome Henna stamp set from AltNew.

Why is the new Scor Pal so much better than the older version?  It has 1/8" score lines and has much deeper groves for easier scoring.  For more information as well as the opportunity to make your own box, stop by the store on Tuesday, January 13 anytime between 12-2pm.

Eileen Hull, the designer of the Colorbox Blends, is also a designer for Sizzix. We are extremely lucky that she is a local artist who has generously offered to give us a personal demo with her new Colorbox Blends. Trust me, there is nothing better than learning about a product by the actual designer. Nobody knows their products as well as they do!

New Distress

Ranger is unveiling a new Distress Color of the Month. January's color is Cracked Pistachio. Doesn't it look fantastic? Ranger hasn't shipped them yet, but we have them on order. Is there anything you want us to hold for you when it comes in?

Laura tip- if you are getting the pad, I really recommend getting the reinker. I use Distress inks primarily for backgrounds, so I go through a lot of ink.

New Doodlebug Paper!
