New Technique!

Thursday's FREE make-and-take card features two of the new cling stamps from Hero Arts. It also features an easy, new coloring technique. You'll create your own iridescent ink by combining Liquid Pearls and ink together on an acrylic block (which also makes a GREAT palette) and applying that to your paper with a paint brush. Super shiny fun! Come make one for yourself anytime Thursday between 10 and 8!

Painting fun!

I'm late getting the demo sample posted - sorry! I've spent the last two weeks painting the inside of my house! This is considerably less fun than painting the smaller canvases of cards. Nothing has gone the way I had hoped with my house project, so I'm looking forward to leaving that behind and seeing what magical things Jenn does with colored pencils and Gamsol! You can get an amazing watercolor effect with very little effort (I could really use that right now!). Stop in between 12-2 on Tuesday and see for yourself.

Oh WOOD I?!?! We are simply wild about the new wood paper from Creative Imaginations! It comes in two different varieties (cherry and birch) and in two different weights - super thin and thin. The super thin paper can be easily punched with virtually any punch! It can also be embossed with your Cuttlebug folders, cut with scissors - virtually anything you can do with paper. It also accepts ink and colored pencils beautifully! Fun, fun, fun! Come play with us on Tuesday from 12-2 and see for yourself!

February 14 is not only Valentine's Day - it's also Chinese New Year! Come celebrate the Year of the Tiger on Thursday with our FREE card make-and-take. This card features the Chinese Thank You unmounted background stamp from Hero Arts. Even though this is a large stamp, it's quite easy to get an even impression with the Mega Mount from Impression Obsession - and you'll get a chance to try it for yourself. Stop in any time between 10 AM and 8 PM. If you've had trouble with large stamps before, you'll thank us....a bunch :-)

Make your Own Embellishments

Did you ever play with Shrinky Dinks as a kid? There is some truth to that old saying "I learned everything I needed to know in kindergarten" - coloring inside the lines, sharing and shrinking plastic! Crafter's quality shrink plastic shrinks more uniformly, so you are sure to be pleased with the results. It comes in a variety of colors, but you can also ink it, color it with pencils or chalk, stamp it, cut it, punch it - even add texture while it's still warm. Join us Tuesday from 12-2 and give it a try. But be warned - it's addictive!

Sparkle and Shine

Our FREE make-and-take Thursday will grab your attention! The snowflakes are embossed with powder we custom blended: opaque white and iridescent sparkle. We love the extra shimmer. We also used Bling paper from Bazzill and topped the whole thing off with glitter glue! Isn't this a great card for that special someone celebrating a winter birthday? Be careful, it just might melt their heart!
