New Card Kits

We have two new card kits at the store that include the stamps, dies (if applicable), pre-cut papers and envelopes needed to make 10 cards. The first kit is a thank you card that could also be changed slightly to make cards for other occasions.  It is bright and happy....definitely a great style for Spring and Summer.

The second kit is perfect for just about any recipient- women, kids, and the often difficult to design for....men.  The kit includes three stamps (dog, sentiment and pawprint) as well as a die set that has an assortment of hats, ties, moustaches, and glasses.  Make the card for Father's Day or give it to any of the dog lovers in your life.

Wednesday Free Make and Take

 

Tomorrow's free Make and Take card involves scalloped borders, embossing, and practice coloring with Copic markers.  Save it to use on Mother's Day or any occasion such as get well, thinking of you, thank you, or just saying hello. Stop by anytime Wed, April 26th between 10am-8:30pm to make yours!

Tuesday Learn at Lunch

 

Join special guest artist Gayle tomorrow, Tue, April 25th anytime between 12-2pm for a wonderful free demo involving Gelatos.  She will teach you how to make a marbleized background, cut out letters using the big @mftstamps hello die, use the negative space to position the letters and finish the card off by splattering it with paint made from gold Gelatos.  Whew!  So much to learn! 

Impression Obsession Inks

Card Deb made with the new hybrid ink from Impression Obsession. The inks come in light, medium, and dark tones that work especially well for stamp layering. People struggle with finding colors that will coordinate. This takes out all the guess work!

Wednesday Free Make and Take

I dont know about you, but i can always use a get well card to have on hand.  Join us on Wednesday, April 19 anytime between 10:00am- 8:30pm to make your own free card.  It uses the Wonky Stitches from My Favorite Things as well as Bitty Banners from Reverse Confetti.  The great thing about the layout is that you will be making a get well card, but you could easily use the design at a later date for just about any ocassion.

Join Happy Stamper Dee Tuesday, April 18 anytime between 12-2pm for a free demo on using a single stamp and Memento ink pads to create an ombre effect.  She will be using the MISTI to show you how you have more control over the colors whrn you build your own look.  

Wednesday Free Make and Take

 

Sweet little rabbit card  for our free Make and Take tomorrow, Wed, April 12.  It uses a stamp from @rubbermoon as well as colored pencils.  For those of you who are technique driven, have you ever embossed with a die to create a frame rather than for cutting paper?  No?  Well, you will learn how to do that too!  Stop in anytime between 10am and 8:30pm to make your free card!

Memory Box Collage Dies

This card has so much depth, it looks like each layer has been popped up!  While you could pop the layers for even more dimension (it would be a challenge to mail), you don't have to with the ingenious way these new dies from Memory Box have been designed.

Art Journal Classes this Tuesday

 

Kathy is starting to teach the art journal classes at the store.  It is a great time to relax, try out various art mediums, and be creative.  In her class this Tuesday, she will be working with Penny Black cherry blossom stamps and butterfly dies, inks, paints, tissue paper, ColorBurst powders and colored pencils.
