Easy Ombre Cards

Creating an "ombre" effect (where colors blend from light to dark) has required multiple inkpads and inkings in the past.  But not anymore, thanks to the Hero Arts Ombre Inkpads.  These tri-color cards make subtle, monochromatic cards a breeze!

Join Angela to learn all about multi-color stamping, and also check out some samples Paula created using these pads with a brayer and direct-to-paper techniques.  It's a tag-team effort!!!

Retro Fun!

This is our LAST Thursday FREE make-and-take!

Beginning next week - July 1, the FREE make-and-take will move to Wednesdays.

So, be sure to stop by Thursday between 10 & 8 and celebrate the end of a Thursday tradition (and anticipate the beginning of a new Wednesday tradition!)

We will be creating this fabulous birthday card with fun and feisty stamps from Art Impressions (colored by Copic markers) in anticipation of Sandy Allnock's arrival in a couple of weeks.

Watercolor bliss!

We just received our first shipment of Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and I am not able to put them down.  They make blending so easy, I look like a pro (and this is not my biggest strength as a stamper!)

Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and give them a try.  I'll show you lots of tips and techniques - from blending with the markers themselves, to blending with water, to blending with Wink of Stella pens.  So much fun!  The demo Tuesday is FREE and you don't need to register.  Hope to see you there!

Calm Seas Ahead!

This stamp image and phrase is one of our favorite offerings from River City Rubber Works.  It's just perfect when you can't find the right words.

Paper Palooza!

So many exciting collections of paper have arrived at the store that we decided it was time to highlight them with a blog post.

There are two collections from Fancy Pants that celebrate summer.

The first one is called Summer Sun, and it has flip flops, suns, bikes, floral designs, and more.  It has a bit more of a feminine feel to it.

The next collection from Fancy Pants is called Making Waves.  It has a more masculine feel and is full of fun nautical designs:

Thursday Free Make and Take

Ranger Color of the Month and Updates

Ranger announced today that they are getting ready to ship June's color of the month....Hickory Smoke. Greys are just about the most versatile colors you can own. They can be used on their own, tone down other colors or add shadows. Let us know if you want any of the new Distress products held for you.

Several people called today to ask if we still had convention tickets. We are all sold out this year.

Speaking of selling out, a couple of Sandy Allnock's classes are almost full. If you were thinking about signing up for them, don't delay!

Tuesday Learn at Lunch

 

Interactive cards are so much fun to make and double the pleasure to receive. Join Deb Tuesday between 12 & 2 to learn about the ins and outs of using the new Stampendous Pop-Up die set and coordinating Build A Bouquet stamp & die sets. The card on the left is a sample using the Pop-Up die set. The card on the right is the card you will make during the demo using ink and finger daubers to color the images. Hope you will "pop" in.
