Add the Bling!

Hmmm, sorry this tag is upside down. I've had this problem before on Facebook, and now I'm having it on blogger too. Modern technology....sigh.... The picture was taken with an iPad, and even though I've saved it as a new file on my PC, it won't show up correctly in blogger. This problem is not going to be solved by me today, so I'll just move on (with apologies). Anyway, this tag features the brand new Smooch Glitz, which is the product Laura and I were most excited about at the recent trade show we attended! You'll see it's brilliant shine on the leaves (if you turn your head just right......). Jenn colored the image with Copic markers and then applied the Smooch Glitz over the top. The effect is between Glitter Glue/Stickles and Spica pens in terms of dimension and opacity. Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and see everything right side up!

Hugs and Smooches!

We love the Smooch paints by Clearsnap, and they recently unveiled a bunch of new "must have" colors! If you've never worked with Smooch before, you're in for a treat. First of all, their packaging (they look like little nail polish bottles) is irresistible! And the fine tip makes them very easy to apply, even in very small spaces. These highly metallic paints dry on virtually everything! I use them to paint my metal charms. Join Jenn for this Tuesday's Technique Tag where she'll share a bunch of other techniques, including this fabulous faux marbling technique. Fun!

Marbling Madness

Can you believe this is done with Smooch ink? We've played with Clearsnap Smooch in the past - adding highly metallic accents, painting on metal charms, highlighting dark colored cardstock....but I had never seen them used in this way before! You can't really tell from the photo, but there's still a hint of shimmer on the marbled paper as well. Jenn was playing with this technique at home when her teenaged sons walked by. They were so enamored with the technique that they wanted to make marbled papers too! That's quite an endorsement! Join us Tuesday from 12-2 and give it a swirl!

A Great Big Smooch!

The new colors of Smooch have arrived, and they are lovely! These colors greatly enhance the original 8 colors so that your flowers and other projects have some shading to them. We love these highly metallic paints that dry on absolutely everything! Jean likes to demo them to their full potential (using them on glass and acetate), but that sure makes it hard to photograph. Sorry about that! Come in and see them in person at our Learn at Lunch, Tuesday from 12-2.

Hugs and Smooches

Jean is back and will be leading our Tuesday Learn at Lunch tomorrow from 12-2. She'll be playing with Clearsnap Smooches. Smooches are highly metallic inks that come in convenient "nail polish" shaped bottles with extra fine tips. While she was gone, I started playing with them a bit myself (the samples to the left are mine, so the cards you'll be playing with tomorrow will be different). Some of the things I liked about them were how well they worked on metal charms (I colored the honey pot charm to match the card) and how brilliantly they showed up on dark colored card stock (I stamped and embossed with white on the black then accented with Siren Smooch). They are kind of addictive - I'm warning you now! Come see for yourself.
