Graphic 45

There is new Graphic 45 at the store that you will definitely want to see.  First, there is the Delux Collection pack for the French Country line.  It is one of our all time favorite releases, so you will want to grab it before it is gone.  For this release, we only have the 12" x 12" collection packs.

The second is the  "Halloween" release called Master Detective.  Graphic 45 always goes non-traditional for their Halloween release. For those of you who get tired of the typical witches and broomsticks, you should definitely check out the new line.  We have collection packs in various sizes as well as individual 12" x 12" sheets.

Wednesday Free Make and Take

 

Primary colors make for a vibrant Summer card.  Join us tomorrow, Tuesday May 31st anytime from 10am-8:30pm to make your free card.  You will get to play with a sentiment from @theprojectbin and practice using parts of a @mftstamps pattern image to create a fun background. 

Tuesday Learn at Lunch

Join Dee for a free Learn at Lunch demo on Tuesday, May 30th anytime from 12-2pm.  She will teach you about rotating background stamps to create intricate patterns for your cards.

New Impression Obsession

Are you a fan of layering stamps?  IO has two new sets that feature ice cream cones and sundaes that are perfect for summer.  Of course there are plenty of other stamps and dies to enjoy!

Who doesn't need an extra birthday card on hand? Join us tomorrow, Wed May 24th anytime between 10am-8:30pm to make this free card. It uses an image from @artimpressions as well as a little sparkle to really make it festive party card.

A Little Humor

Join Angela this Tuesday anytime between 12 & 2 to create a "faux Polaroid", and have a little fun in the process.  We will talk about the best ink for stamping on glossy cardstock (which makes the "Polaroid" more realistic), and the best methods for stamping and coloring on black card stock.

You'll enjoy a time to relax, and hopefully this will be a card you can share with someone to truly brighten their day!  Demos are free and do not require a reservation.  See you there!

Join us Wednesday, May 17th to make this fun shaped card using dies from Penny Black and Hero Arts.  The card is free to make and you can stop in anytime from 10am-8:30pm to have a little craft break in your day. 

Delicate Shimmer

Join Angela this Tuesday any time between 12 & 2 for the FREE Learn-at-lunch demo.  She will show you some new techniques for stenciling with Gelatos.  They go on easier than virtually any other medium, they are water soluble but can be used on regular cardstock, and they are permanent once dry which makes layering a dream!  In addition, she'll show you how to add some shimmer on the cheap - with foil!  And best of all, there's no "drying time".  Fun!  See you there.

Super Excited for Tomorrow!

We are so very excited about tomorrow's big Open House.   Mitra from Impression Obsession brought her ENTIRE booth.  This includes EVERY die that they make.  Bring your cameras because there are so many sample boards we are having to put some of them on the window sills just to fit them all.  Mitra also brought catalogs for us to hand out.  Yeah!  There are hostess bags just for walking in the door (while supplies last), prizes, food, demos, and make and takes.  Join us anytime between 10am-5pm for a really fun day. Not everything is out yet, but here is a sneak of all the goodies:

More on the Open House

Another free Make and Take card we will be doing this Saturday.  It uses some of the latest stamps, dies, and inks from Impression Obsession.

Open House

Are you coming to our big Open House on Saturday!  Kathy will be demoing metallic gilding paste, which is a product that can add a lot of glitz and glam to your embossing folders, stencils or die cuts. We are also getting lots of new products in at the store in anticipation of the party.  One of the companies that just arrived is Waffle Flower.  Here are some ideas for using their products:

Spring Open House!

We hope you are planning to join us as we celebrate spring with a fabulous open house on Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

This year, we are changing things up a bit and focusing on one company, Impression Obsession, because they have so many new products to entice you!!! The owner of IO, Mitra Friant, thought our event sounded like so much fun that she is going to join us!!!! This is an enormous, big deal because Mitra's schedule rarely allows her to visit local stamp stores anymore. And, she's bringing her "trade show booth" - so many products and samples!!!! Bring your camera and come celebrate her presence with us - she's a hoot and a half!!!  She will be rotating her demos all day long - and these demos will introduce you to her brand new ink pads - you don't want to miss this!!!

To show our appreciation for your support throughout the year, snag a FREE goodie bag just for stopping in (one per household, please) while supplies last.  You'll also receive a ticket for additional door prize drawings throughout the day.

And as always, we'll have a Community Outreach Project benefiting the Nokesville Church of the Brethren Blessings Box(see the details at the bottom of the page). You'll receive an extra door prize ticket for your contributions.

The first make-and-take features I.O. Silhouette stamps and will be available from 10 - 12 (pictured below).  The second make-and-take features I.O. Background stamps and a geometric flowers die.  It will be available from 1 - 3.

Community Outreach - Nokesville Church of the Brethren Blessings Box
The Blessings Box is an unlocked container stocked with nonperishable food items, toiletries or other basic household needs (including diapers and feminine hygiene products) available with no questions asked 24/7. People are invited to take what they need and give what they can. And above all, be blessed!

The Blessings Box "stands in the gap" for people who, for whatever reason, come up short at the grocery store but who don't receive formal assistance. Additionally, diapers, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products are not provided by area food banks and are especially helpful.
