3-D effects

Isn't this incredible?  There are no other words to describe how stunning (and did I mention easy?!?!) this simple card is, thanks to the "next level" embossing folders.  They create this "double-embossed" effect with just one trip through your die-cutting machine.  And, each 6x6 folder has a grid to make lining up your design a breeze!  But, be aware, if you have a REALLY OLD Cuttlebug, these folders will not fit.  Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and make one of these cards in person.  The picture can't do it justice.

Happy Thanksgiving, and Saturday Demo!

 

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!  We will be CLOSED Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29th as we celebrate Thanksgiving.  We hope that you have a happy and healthy holiday, filled with good friends and good food!!!  Since we will be closed, we will not have our regular Thursday FREE Make-and-Take, but we wanted to leave you with this little bit of inspiration.  The card was made for our Wall of Fame by Sherry Hickey.  I love her paper piecing work on this image - super, super cute!  

 

 Will will reopen at 10 AM on Saturday, November 30.  We are participating in Small Business Saturday, so if you have registered your American Express Card, and you use it to purchase more than $10 in stamping supplies on Nov. 30, you will receive a $10 credit on your next AmEx statement.  Yay!  If you don't have an American Express, please stop by anyway.  I will be leading an encore demo with 2 of my favorite products - the Faber Castell Paper Crafter Crayons and the Envelope Punch Board.  The demo will take place between 11 - 1.  Hope to see you then - and a very happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Graphic 45 week!

Kick off Graphic 45 week on Friday, September 6 by stopping in to wish Angela a Happy 45th Birthday!!!!  In her honor (or at least, that's what she's believing :-).....) Graphic 45 has released 3 new paper collections and we have them all!  Stop in Friday and snag a cupcake and also some fabulous paper! 

Then, put your creativity to work.  Use one of the above "sketches" or patterns to create a card featuring Graphic 45 paper (any collection - even older ones - is fine).  Drop it off any time between Sept. 6 - 14 and we'll display it in the shop.  We will choose 1 card randomly, and the winner will receive a $45.00 gift card to your favorite LSS!!!!!!

Sew Stamping!

Like the look of stitching but lack the patience to actually do it? Boy, have we got a tool for you! We R Memory Keepers has created all of their fabulous stitching patterns in stamp form! Simply roll on your stitches - it can't get any easier than that! I had figured out making borders and frames with the stitched look, but Jenn took it one step further. Wow - look at the creative geometric collage she made by combining stitches!!!! Love it! Stop in Tuesday between 12 & 2 and give it a try for yourself. You'll want to stitch everything!

Sew Ribbon!

We've had a lot of fun with the Sew Easy products from We R Memory keepers - so we were excited to try their latest product: Sew Ribbon! Like the Sew Easy, which creates holes for sewing thread in a variety of shapes and designs, the Sew Ribbon creates unique patterns for sewing 1/4" ribbon. The design shown is the leaf pattern, but there are 5 other designs as well. I like the scallop pattern for creating a bunting look. You'll love adding borders and texture to your project, and it really couldn't be easier! Stop in between 12 and 2 on Tuesday and give it a try. Fun!

Keeping you in Stitches!

Have you tried the new Sew Easy tool from We R Memory Keepers? It is so much fun! It consists of a handle with exchangeable rolling nibs that create different patterns for stitching. Simply roll it along, and it makes perfect holes, ready for stitching! Jenn stitched the bottom row with floss, but along the top, she simply used a white pen to draw stitches between the holes.
