Layered and Framed - oh my!

At first glance, it looks like 3 different dies were layered to achieve this look.  However, this is done with a single die.  Join Angela Tuesday between 12 & 2 to learn how to cut a frame with this die (keeping the word straight - there is a trick to that!) and then how to make layers.  We will also be working with the new Paper Cut Glitter Paper (don't worry - absolutely no glitter escapes from this paper - you will love the mess-free shimmer).  As always, demos are completely free and no reservation is required!  See you there!

A Whale of a Good Time

Wednesday's FREE make-and-take features a "center-step" card design from Paper Cut.  The Impression Obsession dies are enhanced by the mini background stamps (also by I.O.).  These stamps were designed with dies in mind - the patterns are the perfect size for most die cut images.

Beat the heat - stop in Wednesday any time between 10 & 8 and make one for yourself!

The fun continues with The Paper Cut's slider cards! These cards fold completely flat, but when you pull the ribbon, it reveals the sentiment underneath. And, it basically creates its own easel, so it's fun for your friends to display! Stop in Thursday between 10am- 8pm and create one of these cute, all-occasion cards to share with a friend. You won't believe how easy it is!

Spring - it's not just a "coily thing"

Honestly - doesn't spring seem like the forgotten season?  I say we celebrate spring regardless of the uncooperative weather!  Spring is a state of mind!!!!

Hahaha - can you tell I was stuck in a blizzard in Denver earlier this week?

Anyway, join us Thursday for our FREE make-and-take card celebrating Spring!  We're using the cutest die cuts and stamps from Impression Obsession, and also a fabulous pre-punched card from Paper Cut.  We've had so much fun recently with the unique shapes and interactivity of Paper Cut cards, and we are well stocked at the moment.  You can get these 3-hole punched cards, slider cards, stair-step cards.  The possibilities are endless!  Join us Thursday between 10 & 8 and celebrate spring - who cares what the thermometer says!

Reverse Dies you'll "LOVE"

Have you been in the shop and seen these really intricate dies and thought to yourself, "Good Grief!  You don't expect me to glue all those little pieces back into the proper place, do you?????"  If so, you are not alone.  But that's not the intention of these dies.  They are a "reverse die", and they make wonderfully intricate windows into the inside of the card.  However, you can save the little cut-outs and make small embellishments to use elsewhere on the card (which is exactly what we did).  Join us this Thursday any time between 10 & 8 to make this stinkin' cute Valentine for that someone special.  The card is FREE and you don't need to register.  Fun!

Stunning Step Card

One of my favorite things about Step cards is how nicely they display.  If you want to send a card that will sit easily on a mantle, step cards are the way to go!  This Thursday's FREE make-and-take project features stamps from Impression Obsession.  I love the detail of this stamp - and how easy it is to color by simply spotlighting the cardinals with color and leaving the rest grayscale!

The appreciate the sentiment, but it could easily be replaced with something different as the occasion dictates.  Join us Thursday between 10 & 8 to make one for yourself.

No worries!

Isn't this card adorable????  I can't actually remember when I looked forward to the summer heat, but this little girl looks perfectly cool :-)

Join us this Thursday between 10 - 8 for this FREE make-and-take card.  It features a stair-step card from Paper Cut and stamps by Impression Obsession.  I LOVE the dots cover-a-card stamp on the yellow.  Doesn't that look exactly like water drops?  So clever and picks up the dot motif in the inner tube!

I also love the sentiment - who couldn't use a little encouragement - in such a cute package!  Drop by and make one for someone special!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is May 13, so stop in Thursday for our FREE card make-and-take and get prepared!  We love these cards from the Paper Cut - it's fun to do something with an unusual shape every once in a while!  And, we love the dogwood stamp from Impression Obsession.  We colored the flowers with Prismacolor Pencils - they're so opaque that they really pop the image on the green card stock!

The View through the Window

Window cards are so elegant! They look so professionally finished! Join us Thursday for our FREE card make-and-take where we'll be layering 2 different cover-a-card backgrounds (from Impression Obsession) to create the clouds and trees. We'll be adding texture with Flower Soft and finishing it off with this lovely poem - also by Impression Obsession. The window layers are already cut (from Paper Cut). How easy is that?
