New Memory Box...Stamps!

What?! What is that you say? Memory Box has new stamps? Yes...and they just arrived! If you need inspiration, Memory Box is having a "stamps only" week on their Outside the Box blog April 8-12. Check out their blog to get ideas, and then stop by the store to pick up your favorites.

No Fooling!

Dee has developed quite a following for her demos, and tomorrow is likely to be no exception!  She comes prepared with lots of samples to inspire you, and even written instructions!  Wow!  Be sure to join her tomorrow, Tuesday, between 12-2 and learn all kinds of techniques for working with "inchies".  We call them inchies, but they have certainly expanded their line of products!  They have 2" squares and 3" squares and even ATC sized pieces of matboard in a variety of colors.  Let Dee show you the best methods for coloring and layering them - you'll be amazed by all the different things you can do!

Thankful for Spring!

Seriously - it is spring, isn't it???  Join us tomorrow (Thursday) between 10 & 8 and we'll encourage spring to show up too!  I love these sunny flowers by Impression Obsession.  Perfect for coloring with any medium (we're using Copic markers).  Look how the sentiment is "grounded" with the lace accent underneath and the pennant shape on the right. March Snow Brings April Showers?

 

I know, I know.  It's not as catchy as April Showers bring May Flowers - but I certainly hope it's true!  It's simply too late in the year to be putting up with any more snow!  For this Thursday's FREE make-and-take, we are using brass stencils to create this card, which can be used for virtually any occasion!  Instead of using a lightbox and dry embossing, we're actually using the stencil as a mask and sponging in color with Memento ink pads!  So easy and quick - love it!  Stop in between 10 - 8 and make one for yourself!

While you're in the shop, be sure to check out the class samples for Stacy's upcoming workshops!  Stacy Rich, owner of Stacy Stamps, is sort of sneaking into town on Friday, April 5, and we've begged her to do a couple of classes while she's here.  She has so many fun techniques - things that make you smack your head and wonder, "Why didn't I think of that?"  So, bring your basic kit and a notepad to take notes, and join us for either her Lighthouse Mini Book or her cards for All Occasions workshop (or both)!  Fun!!!

This card's no blarney!

Just in time for St. Patrick's day, this week's FREE make-and-take features a lovely blessing (why do we only send these wonderful thoughts on St. Patrick's day?  I move we make it St. Patrick's day all year long!!!!) 

Stop in Thursday between 10 and 8 and make this card for FREE!  It features a sentiment from Rosewood/Frog's Whiskers stamps and also a fun technique of embossing cardstock and highlighting with Perfect Pearls!  I love the extra shimmer and shine it adds to the card!

Happy For You

This week's FREE make-and-take card features new stamps from Impression Obsession.  There are many things I like about this design.  First, the focal image is not stamped on white or cream - I don't always remember that I have options!  Prismacolor pencils are very waxy and opaque and color beautiful on colored cardstocks!  I also like the use of scraps of decorative cardstock - I'm saving them, so I might as well use them, right???  Not only is it a great design element, but it also grounds the sentiment - I like that it's not just stamped at the bottom of the card.  Fun, fun, fun!  Stop in Thursday between 10 & 8 and make one for yourself!
