No Fooling!

Dee has developed quite a following for her demos, and tomorrow is likely to be no exception!  She comes prepared with lots of samples to inspire you, and even written instructions!  Wow!  Be sure to join her tomorrow, Tuesday, between 12-2 and learn all kinds of techniques for working with "inchies".  We call them inchies, but they have certainly expanded their line of products!  They have 2" squares and 3" squares and even ATC sized pieces of matboard in a variety of colors.  Let Dee show you the best methods for coloring and layering them - you'll be amazed by all the different things you can do!

Thankful for Spring!

March Snow Brings April Showers?

 

I know, I know.  It's not as catchy as April Showers bring May Flowers - but I certainly hope it's true!  It's simply too late in the year to be putting up with any more snow!  For this Thursday's FREE make-and-take, we are using brass stencils to create this card, which can be used for virtually any occasion!  Instead of using a lightbox and dry embossing, we're actually using the stencil as a mask and sponging in color with Memento ink pads!  So easy and quick - love it!  Stop in between 10 - 8 and make one for yourself!

Just in time for St. Patrick's day, this week's FREE make-and-take features a lovely blessing (why do we only send these wonderful thoughts on St. Patrick's day?  I move we make it St. Patrick's day all year long!!!!)

Happy For You

This week's FREE make-and-take card features new stamps from Impression Obsession.  There are many things I like about this design.  First, the focal image is not stamped on white or cream - I don't always remember that I have options!  Prismacolor pencils are very waxy and opaque and color beautiful on colored cardstocks!  I also like the use of scraps of decorative cardstock - I'm saving them, so I might as well use them, right???  Not only is it a great design element, but it also grounds the sentiment - I like that it's not just stamped at the bottom of the card.  Fun, fun, fun!  Stop in Thursday between 10 & 8 and make one for yourself!

Delightful Dimension!

Join us Tuesday, March 5, for the next in our series of Demos with Dee!  Dee has been inspired lately by some of the work being done on the Penny Black blog, and wants to share some of the tips and techniques she's discovered in working with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder!  It's hard to see the dimension in this tag, but it's breathtaking in person!  Stop in between 12-2 on Tuesday, and let her show you some fun new methods for working with UTEE!  No reservation is required.

From our house to yours!

If you were able to join us for our Open House in January, you were likely WOWED by Marilynn's brayer demo.  She is still "on a roll" (I crack myself up) and has pre-brayered glossy paper for you to enjoy!  Stamp the house (by Hero Arts) and then highlight the decorative elements with the White Signo pen.  It really makes things POP, and it dries beautifully on the glossy card stock!  Stop in Thursday between 10 & 8, and make one for yourself. 

Collage Bird

I love the look of collage, but can never seem to get the balance right when I try to create one "from scratch".  So, I love the LaBlanche stamps, because the hard work is done for me!  These silicone stamps create crisp impressions (you've got to try them if you never have - I guarantee you'll be impressed)!  We colored the image using a Watercolor Technique with Memento ink pads!!!!  I love it when I can use one item in multiple ways, and Mementos are my "go to" stamping pad for working with Copics.  Imagine how delighted I was with Marilynn's use of them as the actual coloring medium as well!!!
