Cold Outside??? Not really!

I don't think Marilynn knew about this amazing weather when she created this card sometime last week! One would think that this card would be entirely appropriate for the beginning of February, but here we are.... So, get out and enjoy the weather on Thursday, stop in and make one of these adorable cards featuring stamps from Rosie's Roadshow, then save it for a cold and rainy day! We're shadowing with Copic markers and doing a wee bit of paper piecing on the scarf. Cute!

Simple Elegance

For this week's Technique Tag Tuesday, we'll be playing with the LaBlanche stamps. You may have seen these in the shop and not even realized it. They look like they are packaged in a white box, but in fact, that is how the stamp is mounted. They are unlike any stamp you've used before, and they stamp fine details just beautifully! We stamped this image on patterned paper and then colored with Prismacolor pencils, which are very opaque and allow the image to really pop! Stop in Tuesday between 12 and 2 and make one for yourself. Pretty!

Stamps by Judith!

This fall, we added the Stamps by Judith line of stamps to our offerings, and we've been having a ball ever since! Her collection can be used to create all kinds of scenes - the stamps are very versatile. Join us this Thursday between 10 and 8 to make this all-occasion card. The balloon is a separate image, so you can really change the "mood" of your bear simply by using a different stamp in place of the balloon. We'll also be adding some texture and dimension to the bear with flocking. If you've not worked with flocking before, be sure to stop in so you can see how easy it is!

If you just can't get enough of Stamps by Judith, consider taking a workshop featuring her stamps. Fun, fun, fun!

Faux Grass!

Easter is on the way - the perfect time for Faux Grass! We've shown you how to use the Fringe Scissors to create 3-D flowers, but you can also use them for much simpler projects, like creating faux grass. Spice up your projects with this extra bit of texture - and don't be afraid to use patterned paper for your grass. Fun! Join Jenn this Tuesday from 12-2 and let her show you the 3-D flowers from a past demo as well as faux grass. It's the perfect lunch appetizer!

Come on over!

We're here celebrating our Open House in the midst of another crummy weather day (why is the weather crummy every time we throw as party???)

But, we are not alone! We're very grateful for our customers and friends who make a point of celebrating each year with us!

Up, up in the air!

We love Leigh Hannan's designs for Impression Obsession, and this image is no exception. I love all the whimsy and detail! Do a little bit of coloring with Copic markers, a little bit of paper piecing (we're always looking for ways to use up those scraps you've been saving) and you have an adorable little work of art. Stop in Thursday between 10 and 8 and make one of these for yourself, or for that special someone! You don't even have to wait until Valentine's Day to share this one!

Sparkle & Shine!

Did you know that Copic makes a line of Glitter pens as well? They are called Spica pens (pronounced "Speak-uh"), and they are a translucent, shimmery accent, perfect for any project! Stop in Tuesday between 12-2 and give them a try. They are very different from the Stardust glitter pens - a much softer look. Come see!

Also, please note that we are OPEN today, Monday, our regular hours of 10-3. If you have the day off, drop by and say hello!

Lovely Valentine!

Join us this Thursday between 10 and 8 to make this stunning Valentine (or Wedding) card. We'll be creating a resist using white embossing powder and Ranger's Distress Stains. If the thought of "distress" conjures images of earth tones and "grunge" in your mind, then you are missing all of the rich colors the Distress line includes! Stop in, make this card for FREE, and let us change your mind about "distress"!

Amazing Powder Tool

Perhaps you've seen the Powder Tool hanging in the shop and wondered "what is that?" It has an unusual, futuristic shape that's very intriguing! Join Jenn tomorrow between 12 & 2 and find out several different uses for this cool looking tool. First, it makes a great embossing accessory as the powder only sticks to the ink, rather than random, messy spots all over the paper. But you can also use it to "de-stickify" stickers or adhesive paper, making them even more versatile. Stop in and find out more!

New from Lockhart!

We are starting to unpack all the boxes that piled up in the week we were closed. It's like Christmas all over again! Today, I had the pleasure of opening the new Lockhart stamps (and fabulous card samples). You simply must come in and see the "couch card" in person. Karen used tiny straight pins for the knitting needles in the basket of yarn - perfect! We will continue the unpacking process all weekend, and into the following week. And, don't forget, at our Open House on January 21, we will be unveiling two new companies that we have never carried before in the shop. You won't want to miss that (along with all the other fun that an Open House brings). Hope to see you soon!

Start the Year Thankful!

Hopefully your holiday was filled with lots of hospitality and gift-giving! If so, then this FREE make-and-take is just the ticket. Show your friends how much you appreciate them with this cute little note. Stop in any time between 10 & 8 on Thursday and make one for yourself. This card features the Accu-Cut snowflake and a cute little snowman from the Hero Arts/Basic Grey collection. Happy New Year from all of us at the Happy Stamper!
