September Challenge

Each month, we issue a challenge for you to create a card for our "Wall of Fame". For September, the theme is "circles". This card really took the theme to heart by cutting out large circles using the Accu-Cut and then adding smaller circles with Marvy punches. Your card doesn't have to be circular. It can just incorporate circles in some way - the polka dot decorative paper on this card was enough to qualify it! Get creative! Reshape your clear border stamps into a circle...place nickels on your paper and draw around them with glitter pens...who knows what you can come up with?! We place all entries into a hat at the end of the month and draw a random winner for a cool prize! It could be YOU!

Enjoy the Moment!

Such sage advice on such a small canvas. Stop by this Thursday, Aug. 28 anytime between 10 and 9 and just....enjoy the moment!
This card features foam stamps from Kodomo. These are not your average foam stamps. Made in Japan, they are firm and finely cut and create such a crisp impression. And, they are very reasonably priced! Ahhhh, I'm enjoying the moment just thinking about it!
While you're here, check out the massive Impression Obsession order we received. It features all of their new Halloween/fall stamps. We've gone completely batty over them.

Don't be a bird-brain!

....and miss out on this week's fabulous FREE card. Just stop in tomorrow (Thursday, Aug. 21) any time between 10 - 9 to make this card featuring stamps from the new Memory Box release. Who knew a crow could look so elegant? Flourishes spruce up just about anything - I'm thinking of stamping some on myself :-) And, speaking of flourishes, they are the theme for our Wall of Fame Challenge this month. Let this card inspire you, then take off on a flight of flourish fancy of your own. (That's fancy-talk for "just bring us a card.")

Olympic Fever at AHS!

This Thursday, our FREE make and take project features a new clear set from My Favorite Things! Look how smooth the coloring is! It almost looks like it was paper-pieced, but it wasn't. That's the beauty of Copic markers, and this is your chance to come play with them. We finally received a huge shipment and are almost fully restocked! The sentiment "I'm Pullin' For You!" is perfect for your favorite Olympic athlete - or anyone else closer to home who could use the encouragement.

In anticipation of this fantastic event, we are also featuring the new Memory Box stamps in our FREE make-and-take this Thursday, August 7. Also, check out the new metallic card stock! Dave's designs are so simple yet so elegant. You could actually make multiples of these cards for everyone on your holiday list!

Is this a sign?

We really thought we were going "big time" with printed signs to help you find a parking spot for tomorrow's Open House. But, unless you are looking for "Angelica's Happy Stamper", these signs aren't terribly helpful. Harriett called the printing company and explained, "While our boss is very angelic, that's not her name!" Fortunately, they were able to make the fix and get the signs over to us today. We think that's a good sign!
